Default PUA without the PU Lines? :)

A few years back when I was single I read The Game and like a lot of other people became fascinated with the world of PUA. It seemed like a lot of the self development stuff I was reading was started to get sterile or redundant and here were a lot of folks talking about some pretty effective stuff. A lot of what I learned didn't just help with dating but helped in other areas of life like public speaking, negotiations, overcoming fear, etc.

Fast forward to now and I'm in a happy and committed relationship. I haven't really looked at any of the PUA stuff. And a lot of it doesn't really apply to me any more since I'm not at bars trying to pick up girls with lines. However, I do feel like I'd love to jump back in just to learn things that can help me with my business, building a network, etc. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good resources that might be good to check out. Most of the forums, etc. that I used to frequent have a lot of stuff that's simply not all that relevant anymore.

I used to listen to PickupPodcast -- they had interviews with all types. They went on to create The Art of Charm, and it's not all centered around picking up babes -- they talk about "Being a 10" in your personal and business life.

You might wanna check them out, because I think they're focused on all aspects of life.

The 48 Laws Of Power would probably serve you better.

The only book you'll ever need on women/PUA/dating.

I like it because it's less focused on what to do with women and more to do with how to be a man.

I think what you are looking for is how to be more charismatic, connect with people, improve your social skills to the next level to make more friends or network.

Below is a video about a technique you can use I stumbled upon yesterday. I find it very interesting. You can look at his other videos too since it has some interesting stuff.

YouTube - Mirroring & Matching

I have listened to a bunch of the PickupPodcast before but not all of them. I remember some are about self improvement and not so much picking up chicks. And some of the stuff they talk about can be applied to networking. What I find very interesting is the charisma of the interviewers. They have very high social skills.

A book I am reading is How to Talk to Anyone 92 Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships. It directly applies to the business world as well.

A little shameless self-promotion if I may: I just started my website, www.AdvancingMan.com. It is geared towards helping men create a fulfilling lifestyle. It talks about all aspects of how to be a better man, not just picking up women.

Think about all the women you reject. Think about their looks, body shape, smarts, socio-economic status, ethnicity, race and age. Seriously, think about that. Everytime you see a female decide whether you would date her. Include EVERY single female you encounter and make a tally.

From all those women you rejected, 90% of them would go on a date with you at a drop of a dime.

All the women you approach put YOU in there 90% rejection group.

That's the battlefield of dating, my friend.
