Default Embarassing Moments.

By way of apology for the rant I had on the forum last week I'd like to give everyone the opportunity to have a laugh at my expense.

I've briefly outlined a couple of my most embarassing moments below, I hope you enjoy them and if you want to, share some of your own with me, sorry once again, Andy.

A few years back I had an appointment with a major client. I was mindful to arrive on time and be prepared for what I anticipated could prove to be a difficult meeting.

As I entered his companies reception, I tripped on the top step, I totally lost my balance and fell and I mean really fell, so much so that I kind of tipply-tailed and ended up sprawled in the middle of reception on my back! I wasn't in the slightest bit hurt but that just seem to intensify my embarrasment.

The company was a multi-national and used to have 2 or 3 receptionists on duty at any one time. I staggered to my feet expecting to be greeted by a couple of grinning receptionists and probably other staff members and visitors I felt such a fool I was just praying my client hadn't arrived early in reception to meet me.

When I got up I was astonished to find the reception totally empty, just at that moment one of the receptionists returned and started to apologise for keeping me waiting, I just smiled to myself as I somewhat shakily signed in. In the next one I wasn't so lucky, crash and burn doesnt really do it justice.

I was just 16 in this one and one lovely summers evening instead of revising I decided to go to the local park with some friends, the park was very busy that night and the group I was with ended up lazing in the sunshine watching one of my cousins playing tennis.

Half way through the match Gray came over to the chain-linked fence that surrounded the court and asked me if I wanted his can of coke.I told him I did and to throw it over the fence, after asking me if I was sure he threw it over for me to catch, you can see what's comming here, can't you. I wish I had.

Not only was the park heaving but most of them were girls of my age, I was laid on a grass verge just chilling, what was I thinking of asking Gray to toss the can over the fence, why hadn't I just got off my butt and gone round and collected it from him? who knows.

Anyway, as the can came hurtling over the fence I lost it in the glare of the sun, that is the truth. The next thing I knew it had bouced off my forehead, God it hurt. I was mortified, everyone hsd seen it and I could hear people shreiking with laughter. I instinctively stood up and put my hands to my face. I felt warm liquid, it was kind of sureal, the liquid I could feel was in fact my own blood. If anyone has ever sustained a deep cut to the forehead you'll know exactly how badly I bled.

I had to have 6 stitches and I still have the scar, fortunately for me it forms part of my hairline and just makes me look like I've got a widow's peak. Whenever I notice it in the mirror I cant help smiling but dont get me talking about scars otherwise we'll be here all night.

I'm running short of time so I cant tell you about the time when I was out in a club with a big gang of mates. It involved walking in to the girls toilets, by mistake, I thought none of them had seen the incident and I'd gotten away with it, Nope. When I returned I sensed the boys were a bit too quiet, or was I just imagining it?

The sudden burst of raucous laughter told me that I wasn't.

Take care. Have a good weekend.

Regards,Andy
