My neighbor is driving me CRAZY

I can't stand him! He just has this booming voice and right now as we speak (past midnight) I can hear him yelling through the floor. The other day he woke me up at 5 in the morning! Doesn't he ever sleep? How am I supposed to sleep?? I'm going crazy! What should I do??

Are you in an apartment complex? Call the landlord..

You could talk to the offending neighbour first. And maybe others in your apartment (I assume) too?

Yea I have, and it's NOT helping. I'm about to bawl my eyes out I'm so frustrated.

It's much more productive but I can't talk to the landlord until 9.

I'm glad you mentioned the booming voice because that confirms you are not referring to me, as I don't really talk. I have epic sleep problems, and used to bang around some stuff late at night. I didn't think it was an issue cause nobody is right beneath me, but there is a guy sorta beneath me who just went crazy on me one night for making noise. It really freaked me out, but when I said I had no idea the noise I was making, he calmed down. That was a year ago, and I haven't had any issues with him since. I've made a strong effort to quiet down, but I'm always paranoid he's gonna come snap my neck if I drop something at the wrong hour. Yea, I don't know, kinda illogical but those first impressions are killer. I wish he just asked me to quiet down, but then who knows if I would be making the same effort I do to be quiet at night as I do now.

Maybe you need to confront this guy and freak out, make him think you might snap his neck. Use fear to set him in line. OTOH, maybe not. Your call. Living in close quarters can be a pain sometimes.
