Default Tell me some good male wedding ceremony songs

Hi All,

What are some good wedding ceremony songs a guy could sing at a wedding?

Your favorites? Songs that made an impression on you at a wedding?

I've been playing in bands doing rock songs for years. but I wanted to try something different.

Thank you!

You mean, "songs a male can sing at a wedding," right? Not "songs I can sing at a male wedding"? Syntax can do so much to a thread title!

How about the Sting song: "I Was Brought To My Senses"? Muy romantico. You could sing it at my wedding.

Love will tear us apart - Joy Division

Not sure about your question: are you singing to the groom and bride? Or are you the groom, singing?

Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce

Sure it's unconventional, but the lyrics are great:

Quote:
So now we fly ever free, we're free before the thunderstorm
On towards the wilderness our quest carries on
Far beyond the sundown, far beyond the moonlight
Deep inside our hearts and all our souls

So far away we wait for the day
For the lives all so wasted and gone
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days
Through the fire and the flames we carry on

I appreciate your ideas. Thank you! Another cool thing would be a duet with a girl.

Here is a list of song possibilities I have dug up:

If I should fall behind

Faithfully

Can't wait another minute

I was brought to my senses sting

You raise me up - westlife

up where we belong - joe cocker

There is love

And I love you so - don mclean

Your Song -- Elton John

Longer - dan fogelberg

through the years - kenny rogers

one hand one heart - west side story

through the eyes of love -- melissa manchester

don't know much -- linda ronstadt and aaron neville

you're my everything - santa esmeralda

There Is Love (Wedding Song) --Paul Stookey

Through The Eyes Of Love --Melisa Manchester

Somewhere Out There -- James Ingram & Linda Ronstadt

The stuff McCartney wrote inspired in his relationship with Linda. You're not gonna get more musically romantic than McCartney... They spent only one day of his 3 decades relationship apart. (the day Paul was in jail cause the marijuana arrest...) so he wrote No More Lonely Nigths about it... My Love is about the most dreamy part of a relationship. And Maybe I'm Amazed is more about the start.

Maybe I'm Amazed, My Love, No More Lonely Nights, etc.

YouTube - MY LOVE - Paul McCartney & Wings - 1973

YouTube - Paul McCartney - No More Lonely Nights (HQ)

YouTube - Wings/Paul McCartney - Maybe I'm Amazed (HQ)

Most of the love songs are about missing the women or regretting, you know... as Unchained Melody or The Reason, but as McCartney is positive (since She Loves YOU yeah yeah yeah ), you'll find love celebration songs.
