Hi all, When I'm on a train, I quite often glance at girls around me, but if they catch my eye I can't smile. But it's because I usually get what I perceive to be a negative look. I think sometimes I over react but others I'm pretty sure they give an exasperated look. Am I sending a bad vibe or something? I mean I'm not exactly bursting out of my skin with excitement as I'm usually on the way to or from work. And same for other people. Thanks |

| The Science of Body Language - Body Language Expert (UK) is an interesting website dealing with body languages. I hope this helps. |

I believe that we communicate a lot of our thinking through our eyes (and other body language). So I guess if you're not bursting with excitement and you are thinking that you over react and that others are giving you exasperated looks ... then that's probably what your eyes are communicating. It's probably not a warm, happy, welcoming signal! If you're relaxed, feeling good and thinking at least some positive thoughts then that will come through instead. |

Or are you trying to tell us that you are powerful enough to modify people's thoughts and feelings completely with nothing more than a glance? Whoa, I wish I had that sort of power.

A better question than "am I giving off negative energy" is "do I have negative energy?" If you do have negative energy, what you'll want to do is to search for the source of that energy instead of judging yourself by how people glance at you. That really isn't a very useful indicator of what's going on.
