Default Is every relationship you have just compensating for the last?

Is all the love we feel and give all from the same place?
When were not in a relationship what happens to that love?
We have a lack of getting love and a lack of giving love compared to when we were in a relationship.
your thoughts please

Oh wow. I got a totally different impression from the thread title. I thought you were referring to how we seek qualities in a new partner that are in direct contrast to what we didn't like about the last partner...And we get caught in a vicious cycle of sorts where's we're always comparing our next partner to our last...
