If you're into pickup, as you mentioned in another post, then it would probably be useful to you. Facebook breeds obsessive update-checkers, but I can't deny that it's handy when you want to stay in touch with your social network.

I like Facebook because I have family and friends on the other side of the world and can upload photos for them to see what we're up to any day of the week. I feel much more connected that way... Its the little things... On the flipside, Facebook has a million other applications which are completely useless and will do your head in. So it may well be a good thing that you're not on FB. Don't sweat it. |

pssh you dont have facebook. F that. Do something more productive such as creating something better than facebook OR socializing with people up front, face-2-face. Facebookk just gets addicting and noted that in just too many people. Its just a tool used for procastination. |

I feel Facebook ruined some peoples' lives... many relationships... many good moods... in the recent past. I met two childhood friends of mine whom I hadn't seen for 5 years, and they were not on Facebook. They were FAR BEYOND many other people of my age, in terms of life, career, and everything else. I feel as if those who use Facebook have their personal development slowed down. |

What about it? I have Facebook and use it like 2 minutes a week. It doesn't make you a better or a worse person. It's just a tool. Try it out if you're curious. I guess the whole thread consumed more of your time than creating an account.

Leviticus 2:13 "And yea, God said unto those before him, go forth and get a Facebook account, and it shall vastly improve your local social network. You shall be bestowed upon thee with bitchin' party invites and insightful quotes from people such as Steve Pavlina, do this, and take heed - Myspace sucks" |

Facebook is okay as a social networking tool. I find Myspace to be better, but I don't really use them half as much as I used to. It's just not very inspiring. I might spend 15 minutes a week on them. The part I don't like about it is, "Your friendship has been confirmed." I don't need a computer telling me who my friends are. |
