 |  friend is homeless and in the rain today
my friend is in the rain and has no where to go. i can not bring him to my house because of my grandparents. i don't have any money to get him a motel room. and i'm not sure how much he has. what should i do to help him? what can he do to help his self? what a crazy question but I would really appreciate any advice right now to help my friend. I have been helping him out as much as I can but I have absolutely no money today. Spent my last $20 on gas yesterday and now this happens. I don't know what to do. Please help. Thank you.  |

loveliketheflowers, I had to face this exact situation a while back. The bottom line is get on the net and then get on the phone and call all the agencies public and private in your area that can help people in that situation. Call church and synagogue groups and the local red cross. Just keep calling. Get your friend some connections, a place to rest, and help your friend stay proactive. His biggest danger in this situation is getting depressed. When you are depressed it is very hard to think straight and take action. He needs to do both. You can help by finding him some assistance so he has a little time to think and take action. Then you can help by helping him in the thinking process and the action process. Come up with ideas for him and help him take the action he needs to take. good luck Wayne |
