Tony: I get SO many questions from men about relationship advice. As you are Bas “El Guapo” Rutten (El Guapo means the handsome in Spanish), what would you recommend to our male readers so that they can have success with women? Rutten: Make sure you are funny, can be serious, then if you can kick some ass on top of that you are set. They need to feel secure and they want to have also fun. If you don’t have these qualities then I hope you have a whole lot of money, because that works too, it’s a different kind of “security”, not because you kick ass, but financially. The problem with that is that you will never know if they like you for YOU or for your money. But if they sign a prenup, I say they love you. That bullshit they say “Oh, if you really love me then you wouldn’t let me sign a prenup”, is nuts, I say, “If YOU really love me then you sign a prenup because then I have the 100% truth that you are not after my money. If they don’t, my advice? Do NOT marry them. By the way, I met my wife when I had a 400 sf apartment (the bed was in the kitchen) and ZERO money, so I know why she is with me, and why is she with me? Because I am funny, can be serious and kick some ass! Hahaha, this is too funny! And ANOTHER thing, El Guapo in Argentina means the guy with “Big balls”, is that cool or what? Good looking guys who are boring are only good for a night, the same as guys use the “cute dumb ones”, if you can’t have a decent conversation with them, it gets boring really fast, not a problem for a short amount of time, but not the “I wanna marry you type”. |

I would not date him. Sorry, ToneToneTone. A guy who puts "kicking ass" in his top three date selling points is someone who values violence a little too much for my tastes. Maybe I am a weirdo, but I am also turned off by a guy who immediately starts worrying about women taking a guy's money. He says that his name translating to Balls is cool. Can his girlfriend call him cute pet names such as Teabag, CoinPurse, or Mr Nuggets? I don't know what El Guapo looks like. I found this pic online, and I hope it is close: |

This is actually a better picture of El Guapo ![]() Bassito is just trying to make the point that you should be able to stand up for your woman. Women find that attractive. Quote:

They definitely can stand up for themselves. With that said though, I do think most women find it attractive if their man can stand up for them too. It also shows the woman that the man is confident in himself and maybe a primordial level it shows he can protect her. Quote:
I'm really into kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and called the gym Bas was at to see if he would train me. He said he was no longer training people and asked me what I did (which was doing clothing for people), he said he needed some t-shirts done, I did them, and then started doing the rest of his products; dvds, shirts, posters, etc. Everything did really well and we've been friends since. This was about 5 years ago.

That's so cool! It must be a good time being friends with that guy. I too am a kickboxer. I actually now workout at the gym where Tito Ortiz and Rampage trains at. I've been training in Muay Thai for about a year now. Will you be watching the Mir vs Nog fight?

I most likely will. I just moved to a different state so I have to see which of my friends are into that. Will you?

I like Mir but there is a cockiness about him that I'm trying to get over, but then again it's rare for a cage fighter not be. I love Nogueirra's heart so I think I'm pulling for him. It's a good card so it should be a good show!

If I was in the area I would definitely come by andI would bring some really good beer! If Nog is in shape, he is going to crush Mir. I just don't see how Mir can win. As for Evans/Griffin, I have no idea who is going to win that one. I hope I get to see this card.

I know you are living in a new area now so may you have a Merry Christmas in your new surroundings! I'll be checking in again here after the 27th (fight night). I hope you'll get to watch the fights too!

Hi Tony, Did you get to see the fights? I couldn't believe it. All my fighters LOST and no one kept their belts it seems. Mir deserved to win though. He's was so calm and in control the whole time but Nog didn't do much. Now it will be a rematch between Lesnar and Mir! Unlike most women, I LOVE this sport. |

I'm looking forward to the rematch. I'm also sad about Nog losing as he is one of my favorite fighters. Did he say anything in the post fight interview?
