Hi My main form of socialising is drinking. Just going out to a pub or bar and drinking. A couple of weeks ago I changed my eating and exercise habits for the better but found that I get a bit lonely especially on weekends... I have had plenty of offers to go out drinking/partying but declined because I want to stick with this for at least 30 days. I really don't think going to bars and not drinking alcohol is an option for me - so I just don't go. Apart from that I usually get together with mates for sport/gym but that time is limited and only really before dark. I also don't have a girlfriend. Also, most restaurants aren't very supportive of my current eating habits. What do you guys use as a social medium with friends? [I might make a list if we get some good suggestions here] Some ideas off the top of my head: Grocery Shopping (I really like this one) Watching Movies Golf/Gym/Sports |

I'll never write them off, I still see them regularly. Going to bars and clubs is beginning not to resonate with me at all. I can see the point if it's someones birthday or a celebration, but not just to get drunk.

Sports like roller skating, ice skating, bowling, mini golf, pool, darts, foosball, dancing, rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, juggling, spelunking. Games like board games, card games (invite your friends over to play "apples to apples", it is sooo much fun), gambling, arcades, console games, RC car races. Food-centered like BBQ, potluck... if you're on an atypical diet, you may be able to find a "food club" in your area with like-minded individuals. Community service, volunteer your time. See something like a tour of your town, trip to the zoo, museum, art gallery, flea market, amusement park, camping. Help them with their projects or they help you with yours.

You could play a card game called "Mao", that's the most adictive (and confusing game I;ve ever come across. If you want to try it out, here's an explanation I did while back: Seraphic Forums: Acting Behind the Scenes - Mao, the most complicated card game. - Telekinesis, TK, PSI, and all the other Kinetics I definitely recommend this... nothing like a few hours of Mao to kill time!
