One would be being a good listener. This involves being genuinely caring and interested, and not letting your own thoughts get in the way. Another would be tolerance of ideas and actions that may not be what you would prefer but may be right for the other person. Another would be to give hope, preferably by being a good example of what is possible for others, but also by showing others what is possible in any other way that works. One would be not being arrogant, and being willing to "work in the trenches" with others. Finally, one would be to be a clear, effective, persuasive communicator, and let people know that good things are expected of them.

1. Being a person of integrity 2. Being a great listener 3. The ability to put your ideas/views across in a manner in which they will be understood 4. A person who leads by example and takes the initiative 5. Having a clear vision of what it is that you want to accomplish in/through the relationship The last one isn't much of a trait but without it the other four are pretty much meaningless, IMO. |

for books on this subject Amazon.com: How to Win Friends & Influence People: Dale Carnegie: Books read it love it. but for being great communicator, listening is important leadership is important being about to make your choices for yourself is very important but also I think this is the most important of all... being able to give praise and love to people when they need a pick me up. most people are always negging you out but it takes a great person to boast your sprites -JB |
