I guess we all project our conditioned views of the world and of other people into the world through body language, voice, behaviour, energies etc. If we like someone, we will project this, if we don't we will project that we don't (even if we try to suppress it). If we find someone sexy, we will project "sexual approval" etc... And I guess we also project the role or image we want the world to have of us. So if we are on a date, we may project fun, playfulness, sexiness etc. Spiritually, I try to get away from these projections (which are not the real me), but can we really interact with people without them? I feel people get a little uneasy or purely "blank" whenI am simple awareness and not projecting any particular image about them or myself. It is as if they are screening me for some projection to "work with" (as an orientation for them how to act or feel about me). Any experiences? |
