I just wanted to say it: I'm happy! In fact, I have happiness a plenty, so if you are lacking in that department, have some of mine! Skimming through the usual doom and gloom here, I could not help but feel grateful that I no longer want or need anything to happen in my life to be happy. Of course, I expect plenty of things to happen still... but there isn't one thing that must happen in order to fulfill some socially conditioned notion of what happiness might be. To all you doomers and gloomers: there is still hope for you! want proof? look up some old posts by me... weird, huh? Likewise, I was reading mattpd's bartender story, thinking: "Bleh!" Matt, no offense, but you can keep all women who respond like that and if that's all women then, well, too bad for them! I'll just be on with my merry adventure, thank you very much cheers, Jim.

| Nice to hear and to read. I'm happy too! While you can't look back at all my old posts (as I don't post about personal stuff all that much) two years ago I was in a very dark place. I love my life the way it is (bumps and all) today. |

Man, I wish I could email hugs, because I'd send you one Jim, you are great. Totally with you on that one too, life is to be enjoyed, not won, so lets go out there and live/enjoy it as much as we all can. We don't need anyone or anything to be happy, it's all inside us already. |

Jim - this is awesome, congrats! Strangely, I'm going through some difficult times in my personal life which would usually have a impact on my happiness for the worse, but somehow I am feeling happy day to day even in the face of these issues. This board and folks like you have proven to be invaluable in this growing up process. |

A lot of things suck right now, and others are looking up. But in all of it I feel better than I would expect...in a strange way. I am not sure I'm at happy, but I'm at peace. And right now that's good enough for me. I'm very happy to see you so happy though, Jim. I wish you much more of the same.

I would like to add my happiness. :-D I'm happy to be regaining strength from a relationship where I nearly lost myself. For clarity, I have -never- lost myself in a relationship. This is -new-. It felt like I was inside a supernova... I saw light in my mind all the time. Nothing else had meaning... only him/us the happiness we could find with each other... just that he's not ready yet. I'm working -hard- to get strong again, and it's working. My dream of singing on stage with a rock band will be soon realized! And he's now missing me a lot, since I've not been home to be called. So it's all working, and now for the right reasons. The point, is that I'm relieved and !!!SO HAPPY!!! now at the point in my life where I can quickly regain SELF and STRENGTH no matter what happens. :-D Last edited by Silent Lucidity; 10-07-2008 at 05:17 AM.
