After our recent "what makes someone a -worker" thread, I became curious: If polarisation is defined by intention and not action, and only the person himself can truly know his own intentions, is it even possible to determine someone else's polarisation by looking at them and their actions, or do you have to rely on what they tell you?

I don't think so hence I've always been confused with all the discussion threads about how Bill Gates is a darkworker/lightworker. It's all speculation on how he thinks, although it can be educated guesses. You could to an extent gauge their personality by looking at biographies written, interaction with the world and therefore try understand his motivation for his action. |

Firstly the goal of the concept isn't to label people, so there no need to determine peoples polarisation. I think in general you can make assumption if you have a lot of data. The amount of data that the average person has about most public figures isn't enough to make such a judgement.

It’s like describing World War One as “a serious diplomatic concern.” Bruce Sterling about the financial crisis. |

My opinion is that if you're sensitive enough to feel energy, you can feel whether someone is a lightworker or a darkworker when you communicate with them. Because light/darkworking is about polarisation, and polarisation is about energy flows. Inflow doesn't feel like outflow, neither for ourselves nor for those we communicate with.

Is that all it's about inflow or outflow of energy? That's kinda how I saw it too. Thing is, it's natural to either have an inward or an outward flow of energy, at different times and in different situations. Sometimes, it will serve the person better to have an inflow, other times, it will serve them better to have an outflow of energy. I also think, if you're in a weak position in life, or not quite established; it can be better to be more selfish. If you don't have much energy, it may not be wise to be giving what little you do have, away; conversely, if you are established and have some power in life; you can limit your potential by being selfish; so being selfless can be in your best interests. Of course, I'd argue that ultimately, it isn't possible for any of us to be truely selfless; and if we think we're being selfless, we're ultimatley being selfless because it's in our own best interests to be that way. As to the OP's question; personally, I think it's better to trust your own energy; it is the most true barometer of other peoples' energy and state of mind etc. Much better to trust your instinct, rather than what your eyes tell you..
