Question Essential Principles for Fulfilling Relationships

Hey guys. I would love to hear from all of you what you feel are essential principles for fulfilling relationships. You could also give explanations, examples that illustrate your point. I am hoping to grow and learn from all of your perspectives.

I just produced and posted a introductory video to a series of videos based on a set of 7 principles for fulfilling relationships. I really want your feedback on it. This introductory video gives the foundational knowledge for the remaining videos in the series and also implements a specific tool for creating awareness of the present state of relationships in our life.

7 Principles for Fulfilling Relationships Video Series - Introduction

It's only five minutes and thirty seconds long but I feel it is well worth your time. This group is one of the first to receive this link and I am hoping for your valuable feedback.

In public speaking you shouldn't have your hand in your jeans.

Hi David!

You should really have some post production done on that video to remove the background hiss from the audio, because it is very distracting.

Another thing that I find terribly distracting are your hand signals. They are too restless and do not seem to match what you are saying. Specifically, at around 2:11 you say "not connected", but at the same time make a hand gesture that suggests the opposite.

Both things combined, my work weary head just refuses to filter out the actual information, so I can't comment on the contents... I'll give it a fresh try in the morning!

One more tip for the next video: find a "blander" background. Again, too much distraction going on there. Less = more! (take some cues from this guy)

Thumbs up Thank You

Thank you for the feedback. Less distraction seems to be the theme.

I'd like to clarify that I am not David. I just played a part in producing the video. His part was simply that of speaker. Thanks again.

The video quality isn't bad but should be redone for the following reasons:
- the speaker keeps moving back & forth, hard to focus on the words spoken because of the excessive physical movement
- probably would help if you were sitting down, it would stop you from moving back & forth too much
- too much hand movement, same problem, can't focus on the words because you're taking our attention away from the words because we're following your body language instead
- there are pauses inserted in wrong places every now & then during the speech portion, again it loses my attention

If this is an introductory video, I would probably instead of going into the meat of the matter, give a recap of what the course covers, list the topics of the additional video's following this one in whatever order they come in and give a brief description of each, thank the viewers for watching, etc. Keep it short and this keeps the audiences attention looking forward to the next video which covers whatever subject matter in greater detail

- not horrible but not production quality yet, keep at it though, it can be a winner if you work at it
