Default How did you meet your SO?

I am curious, so share your story with me if you want.

How did you meet your significant other and at what point did you know that you'd like to be together with that person?

i met my wife on a night that i had got dressed up to go to a club but the friend that i was going to go with was about an hour late so i called him to find out what the deal was. he had got caught up watching a boxing fight at a local sportsbar and asked me to meet him there. i drove down there thinking he would be dressed and we would go to the club after as intended but he wasnt dressed.
my plans went out the door. we decided to go to a local bar where the attire was casual/dress. as soon as i walked in a beautiful woman with a matching smile caught my attention. i walked to the bar and ordered a beer and when i turned around to look for her she was walking out with her friends. normally i would have said to myself oh well but i had felt a immediate connection with her so i practically ran out after her and introduced myself to her and asked her if i could buy her and her friends a drink. it sounds cheesy but there was a spark between her and i and we couldnt stop looking at each other and didnt want to end the small talk. on the insistence of her friends she declined the drink offer but invited me to meet them at another local hangout. we exchanged numbers and i went back inside to drink the beer that i had ordered. i drank it so fast that my friend said "dude slow down", i told him lets go were leaving. we drove to where they were at and had the most remarkable night i have ever had with a person. we talked, we laughed, we danced and the whole time i kept thinking this girl is awesome, im going to marry her, its destiny. our guides were working hard that night to make the meet possible b/c i hadnt planned on being at that spot and she later told me that her friends literally had to drag her out the house to join them. she was a home body and didnt like going out. long story short we married 6 months later, we loved to talk about that magical night and how we both felt it was destiny that put us in the right place at the right time.
she was and still is that same loving spirit that i fell in love with, we were married 2 1/2yrs before her time physically here was due 7 weeks ago. she passed away from cancer after giving us a beautiful healthy son.
sorry to end a happy story on a sad note but its really not sad. i miss her tremendously but i know she is more alive than ever and she is close by all the time. i replay that night in my head all the time and all the memories we made and im grateful to have loved and received that love back even if it was a short time. ok, got to go, this is a little emotional for me but one more thing I want to say
Luke and I Love You Babe. You will forever be in our hearts.

juliotx,

What a beautiful story, I cried reading the end. Thank you for sharing that with us!

You should write these stories of your wife down in a book, a journal, or some kind, to be given to your son when he is of the right age. What a wonderful way to teach your son how to love than to share how you dearly loved his mother! He will treasure that kind of gift.

Your story is too beautiful, my man. Now you've made everybody refuse to tell their story cos we sound bad in comparison
