Ok, so bear with me please, this is kinda of a random thought pattern, in a random coffee shop. Maybe my ideas are still to restrictive to my older ways of thinking.. I'm a FIRM supporter in individualism, I appreciate individualism, it's one of the many factors that makes us human.(Individualism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) I'm an individual... I like the things that I like, and don't care who says what about it... I wish more people could be like this, but, its not the case, not everyone can think for themselves, granted it took a lot of help for me to get this way, but I'm happy, I like being happy, it's a good feeling Ok, to the point, when I was in school, we were individuals, granted, there were the "clicks" we all need friends, but for the most part we were all individuals. Wore the clothing that made us comfortable, I used to, still do, wear the same pants (not the ones from high school) just about everyday, they are comfortable, and I am comfortable in them. What I'm getting at, some of my co-workers have children that have stared school this year, not sure of the grades. They are being made to wear uniforms, in a public school.... The parents had gone out and bought the children a whole slew of new school clothes, hundreds of dollars worth, and now they had to buy them uniforms. Is it me or is that just wrong? Whats happening? Why are the children in PUBLIC schools being made to wear uniforms, and if they break that code, they get punished??? I thought that uniforms were for private schools? What happens with the parents that are going through a rough time, and cannot afford the uniforms, do the kids not go to school then? I'm glad I went to the public schools, I've met a lot of people, had a lot of good times. In lieu of that I've become who I am... I'm proud of all my flaws, my dysfunctionalness ( don't think its a word, but i am using it). I guess I'm done, I could keep going on about random things, but I don't think this is the place for my confused thoughts... I'm sorry, this should have gone in world affairs...
