Default Wow. I really have changed...

About a year ago (I think) I opened a thread here because at the time I was very frustrated with my dad over giving me a "son, you still don't have a girlfriend and that has me worried"-talk. I was very angry with him for bringing attention to what is, admittedly, (still) missing from my life.

We had another one of those talks today, but the vibe was completely different this time around. I was very relaxed and easy going like: thanks for reminding me about that, dad! Yes, finding a partner is important but I also working very hard on creating the live I love and that's even more important to me.

But it's not just this thing with my dad that's better now. I feel much more empowered overall now compared to when I first joined the forum. For the first time in my life I have a crystal clear idea of where I am going - I may not yet know all the bends in the road, but I know my destination. It's awesome! Yay!

That is wonderful that you feel so much more confident in your ability to decide what is right for you.
