I posted a long time back about how I was trying to save up money to get my fiance over to England with me. You guys made many great suggestions, and whilst I didn't take up all of them, I did apply some. Well, last week his visa was accepted. I'm in the US right now (three week vacation) and he's flying back with me on the 27th March. We finally get to live together, and we finally have official permission to get married. I'm really happy! June last year I was in debt, jobless, homeless, and completely lost on how we would ever get to be together. In the last nine months I've gotten out of debt, rented a house, gained three jobs (and quit one), one of which was from home, started earning extra money via writing articles and web-design, and tomorrow I'm putting some money into my first CD. Life is so good! I can hardly believe I'm in this position. It seemed so impossible, and yet we managed it. It's incredible to think that we don't have to be apart anymore. On the government website it suggests a waiting period of three months before they processed the application, and we got our answer back in three days. |
