Aw, that makes me sad since a woman with a major girl-crush once told me I looked like a female Johnny Depp. (w/o facial hair, btw!)

Women like facial hair because it's a secondary sexual characteristic of men. Same with chest hair. Most people find women who grow facial hair a bit disturbing. The totally hairless look is really a cultural thing specific to hollywood, porn & aquatic sports. People in genetically hairless areas will go ga ga over body hair(like the Philippines), it's thought of as an attractive trait. Even with girls.

Back in the 70s/60s, waxing yourself hairless (for guys) was a bit more fringe thing to do, mostly the domain of swimmers & such. If you look up studies, women internationally have a bias to be more physically attracted to men with body hair than ones without.

You can let your body/facial hair get unkempt, and that will just look bad in general. The itch will also go away after a few days, just bear through it!

Smile well

very interesting opinions. However, if beard was so popular, why most of the film stars (except few like Sean connery) have gone without it? And they have a HUGE female following.

You know the same is true in reverse...I have a beard (for about 15 years now) and there are many times when the ladies tell me they don't like the beard!!! AND I DON"T CARE...COZ I LIKE IT.

The itchy thing soon disipates. When I was a young adult I couldn't grow one. So there are lots of reasons to have it or not have it. Go with what you want...use your charm and intellect to help the girls decide if they like you or not.
