Yes, I didn't wrote it down thought. Think that I have to translate the words in my mind before writing them down... that's why I said the Beatles will say it better than me.

Violence is a poor way to start a society, because you end up with scores of people who want retribution. And then the cycle continues

"Revolution" is (as Wiktionary puts it) "A political upheaval in a government or nation state characterized by great change". Ghandi was as much a revolutionary as Mao - just a much more positive one.

"Hunger strike".

I think it's a great shame that so many songs today miss the opportunity to send a meaningful message. The bulk of songs in the charts are "I love my bab-ay he/she so hot!" (or alternately "Boo hoo! My so-hot bay-bay left me!"). Love is certainly a core human emotion, but surely there's other topics too?!
Well... I could talk hours about that last paragraph you've wrote. . Yes, these are the 2 mega topics for nonsense songs. Soulful music use to have soulful lyrics. Those songs on the radio today are just cliches without the intention of express a thing.

You can like Beatles, Queen, U2, Radiohead or not (and tons of more artists) but they do music with the soul, lyrics go with it.

Rock and roll will never die...
Some historicians say that the Beatles "started/leaded" a culture thing in the 60's that had an enourmous impact in the world, and they say it prevented the world from World War III. ! Also they pointed to spiritualism, ecologism, peace movement, etc. you know. Also that they were the Western institution that did more to the end of the Cold War and Communism and the perestroika.

Now... I haven't said all that. It's some historicians opinions.
Also some phsychologist use to point at The Beatles songs... maybe they have been the biggest Phsychologist and Personal Development thing in the world ever.

They are/were so great that is easy to not like them for that.

That is true, we could be wrong. However, is that going to stop any of us from trying? To me, the fear of being wrong is the least of my wories.

Oh, of course not. But it's worth it to recognize the possibility. Be honest about it, aware of and open to it, and with that... I think we're stronger.
