You might begin by first acknowledging, as your own, the many memories that you have always had, since childhood, popping up in your head. Memories that have strong feelings associated with them, but you have yet to have acknowledged as your own memories. You don't think of them as your memories, as, in this sojourn, you know you have not experienced them. Yet, you have these memories.
Begin to acknowledge them, as experiences you had in previous sojouns, and these smatterings of memory have come with you, into this sojourn. Not just memories, but knowledge. In my life I've developed certain early skills that may be connected to a past life. But never ever I've had "memories" or so. I have tried meditation and no memory has come to me.
If I had a past life I can't access to it, or so.

I met a woman who lives in Paris who has taken me through a few of my past lives. There is still a lot to do. I see it as some form of therapy to help you move ahead and not make the same mistakes you made before. What she does also helps you get over stuff that happened to you in your current life in the past. It is a great experience. I have heard about someone who does the same thing in Florida. I am sure there are people probably closer than you think who could help you. ASk around! Talk to people about it. Use things like this forum. Bring it up in conversations with anyone, you never know who will be into it and you might be surprised that the person you least expected it is going to lead you to someone who can take you through past lives.

See if you can contact your higher self. Also, I have read (though do not know from personal experience), that if you can astral project, you can go to see your own Akashic records. This is where everything is recorded from all of your past lives. I have not tried either of these methods myself yet.

one can access past lives thru hypnosis.youd be surprised to see how many of your present inclinations/talents/behaviors are being downloaded from back then.sometimes patterns in ones lives (esp relationship issues)and diseases can be traced back to a past life.
however some people access and some dont.cud be because the subconscious is not comfortable in revealing it or you don need to see it.
i have had spontaneous 'peeks' into my own but i don really trust the validity of those the safest and surest way to it would be to be induced and taken back by a qualified prfessional.they usually give a recording of the session in case one goes so deep that one cant remember what went on.watch out for "regressionists" etc.as the sole motive might not be for your highest good.

Interesting, I've been thinking about booking a past life regression session in the new year. There's things in my life that just don't feel like my stuff, but they rumble on in the background.

For example, whenever I go to Manchester in England I have this overwhelming sensation of coming home. I've never felt the same about any place. I can't describe it.

I'm really keen to do a between lives regression too which takes you back to the time when you chose this life and what you wanted to learn from it. You have to do a past life regression first to help fit the pieces together. Need to start saving my pennies to do this though!

As a student of hypnosis, I would suggest you to contact any Hpnotherapist in your city if u feel there's a connection of your current problems from your past life.

But my friends I would definately like to give people a friendly warning not to just because they are curious, what i mean is, if it aint broken why fix it. Things you might have done and or sufferred in a past life can sometimes have an adverse effect if one is just doing a regression. Say a person decides to go to a Hypnotherapist and tell him/her i wanna do a PLR (Past Life Regression) for say just out of curiosity, for no particular reason, and the therapist (careless as I would call him/her) agrees just to go there for exploratory purposes, the person might just see such a disturbing life or a extremely harsh death scene which without any therapy at that time will become like a hairball in a cats throat, one that its just unable to cough out no matter how hard it tries.

Past life regression and Past life Therapy are two different ends of the rainbow. As in regression is a method to take you back to view i repeat "VIEW" your past live(s) and then bring you back. Psychics as well as some hypnotherapists would do that. But say, I just go to a hypnotherapist, and tell him about my problem, say asthma since early child hood. Well as a hypnotist myself my first instictual suggestion would be to tell the client ok, lets go back and see where you got it from and how it manifested, usually breathing disorders are manifested due to a death experience of the similar order (drowning, choking) and if therapy is done after viewing the death scene of that specific past life, the physical manifestation of that experience, in this case Asthma will be healed.

To make things a bit clear:

Past life Regression: taking a person back to view his/her past life (which by the way is chosen automatically by the subconscious mind as to which past life to take you to) when in some cases, just viewing the scene can heal the person of the manifestaion in the current life time that past life was sending to it, may it be some sort of pain, or a repeated pattern of life.

Past life Therapy: Its basic Past life regression and doing indepth therapy while in the regression taking the manifestation causes out from the root and healing the core of the problem.

Yes I do want to actively seek the source of a couple of problems (not just why do i love Manchester!), and I would definitely go to someone who was able to do therapy as well as regression, because who knows what might come up?

Great then... what I'd advise to find a hypnotherapist in your city and go to him or her, and talk about the issues you want clarity about, if they feel its coming from a past life they'll definately do a past life therapy, but in many cases its the skeletons of our current life which manifest in obnoxious ways in our every day life which we tend to be in denial of. So when u go to a therapist, be clear and precise with yourissues, makes it very easy for them... to be able to guide you properly.

Yuu make a good point. I went to this psychic for $10 reading special and we agreed on doing more work. Within a couple of days she was able to tell me where my past lives took place and in the next days more details. Then she even told me who I was !. I was able to back up her claims by advanced astrology report that confirmed karmic debts that person created in his life.

I always wondered how you could tell if those psychics were telling the truth or not? Especially with something like past lives.

That's true, there's no way of knowing. From there on it probably depends how you can relate to the reading and how genuine the psychic feels.

The reason I recommended her is because she was clearly emotionally involved with what she saw and wrote the reading very thoroughly. But either way, in this case for five bucks one can still have his fun. It appears that most people want to know about their past lives for the fun aspect of it anyway.

I have had a psychic do some work in this area, and I also have been hypnotized. I have had some sad and depressing past lives in the past 2 centuries alone, not to mention that life before the French revolution when I was hung for stealing a large roast beef from the kitchen of a nobleman. Ouch! I was hung.

Cruise ships terrify me. My psychic told me that I had gone down on the Lusitania but survived; however I lost my husband and children. I have never been able to remember it yet; she says because it's too traumatic for me. I would really love to go back in and find out more about this.

After I saw Titanic I was convinced that I had been through something like that but I didn't pick up on any vibes surrounding the Titanic.

It's funny (not) but she said I was in my early 50s when the Lusitania went down and I died a few years later from grief, and here I am all over again, early fifties, wanting so much to die because of my painful disease.

But I can't die because I have two children to finish raising. I guess I came back to finish a job I wasn't able to finish in that lifetime. Now I have to figure out a way to rise above the depression and pain of my illness and other sad things in my life and live a long, happy life.
