Hi guys and gals

I have been looking for an apartment but I want to be sure that the place I'm going to rent isn't ''haunted''. I know, it may sound dumb but I'm scared of ghosts

Is there any way I can KNOW before I rent something if there is something ''evil'' in there?
I don't think I'll be able to ask the landlords cause they will think I'm wacko

Hi Epiphany,

Trust your instincts - you are a positive Soul and won't be attracted to truly negative spaces. Get a "feel" for the space, really tune in to the energy. Maybe you can ask whoever is showing the space to give you a moment to yourself.

I wouldn't worry too much about moving into an apartment with negative energies attached. If this ends up happening, you can always clear the space later! Smudging or saging is always good, and there are all kinds of property clearings offered by practitioners.

Well the place I live at right now has a ghost but it doesn't really bother us - but I still get freaked out thinking about it.
When I was younger at my old house I saw some strange stuff

A lady (for sure she was not real!) dancing in my room when I was a child.
I became paranoid after that.

Maybe it would help to remember that all of these entities are not malevolent? I mean did the dancing lady do something to scare or harm you (other than her presence, which I am sure is frightening as a child)?

Also, it's true there are clearing procedures you can do.

No she didn't harm me - she was king of like moving up and down seemed like dancing to me then but it was still scary.
Thanks for all the advice - I'm going to order a smudging kit and as soon as I find a place I will rid it of all evil

I think that another point here is not to classify things you don't like as 'evil'. For all we know, they could be just as scared of us as some of us are of them. Dividing such 'things' into good and evil is way too simplistic. I doubt anyone would classify all humans as either good or evil. Some people have more elements of good than others, but there's a large grey are in the middle where such labels fall off.
It's the same with 'light' and 'dark'. I've come across people talking about people and forces as being 'of the light' or 'on the dark side'. Again, these labels serve no purpose other than to show how scared we are of things we don't really know.

I also say go with your gut.
I rented a house where an elderly lady was violently murdered by her husband. They had lived there quite a long time. I never had a bad vibe, the house was quite peaceful even though something horrific happened there. Either the lady moved on or she was at peace with my family living there. Due to the event, the rent was quite low. It was a nice house in a nice neighborhood so we were very pleased.

I don't know about "malevolent" but some spirits can be negative and create a lot of interference. And Earthbound Spirits/ghosts, positive or negative, are stuck in the Earth plane and need assistance in crossing over. Either way, entities that inhabit our living space creep us out because it's not a healthy situation. All attaching entities need to draw on someone's energy in order to exist. If they share your space, it's often you! So don't just live with our discorporate counterparts and share your home with them. It is a situation that needs addressing ... come to think of it, I ranted a bit on this topic on my own blog ... check it out if this topic is of interest.

As you've not responded, perhaps teh situation is resolved?
If it hasn't then you need to clear your space of anything noxious or detrimental. There are a huge number of ways of doing this. Select according to your beliefs!

Don't be scared of ghosts. Most spirits aren't there to harm you, and the ones that are are very VERY rare...think of it this way...99% of what you will run into will be good spirits...of that other 1% that might NOT be so good...only 5% of that can actually do something about it.
