In high school I was obsessed with finding the purpose of life. Is there even a purpose? I asked various people, from my high school councilor to science teacher to the clergy man to the homeless man to the random guy that worked at Taco Bell, but none seem to give a satisfying answer. It took me a while to figure out the purpose of life through first hand experience with paranormal stuff and piecing the puzzle together with various textbooks. But I found it. The purpose of life is to learn and evolve. The spiritual teachers through out history have been right all along. Jesus Christ and Buddha. And other peaceful activists who got shot in the face like Gandhi, Malcolm X, John Lennon and Martin Luther King. “We can live in peace and harmony!” Oh yeah? BAM, shot gun blast to the face. But it really goes beyond just learning and evolving. We're spirits/souls who came to Earth to learn a thing or two. That's why there is the illusion of time, death and separation to make the learning experience on Earth very intense. It's almost like living in the matrix. Of course, I'm awry of people teaching evolution and to a lesser extend, atheism in schools because it belittles people. Don't you feel helpless when think you're merely a descend of monkeys? When people forget that they're old souls just having fun in this planet, they take life too seriously. Thinking that this is the only life they got, they quiver when they think of death. Relax, the earthly experience is just a fun game. I'm sure those people who committed suicide with a shot gun blast to the head were surprised when they experience life after death. I'm sure the ghost of John Smith had a jolly time watching college girls un-change in the dorms. One book I recommend for proof of life after death is Far Journey, by Robert Monroe where he talks about astral projection. Highly recommended. |

I agree with the having fun part. I believe our purpose is to enjoy life and to spread joy to others as well. If you really seek to enjoy life, that is to take action that is fun and benficial to all areas of life (present and future) then you will find yourself leading a life worth living. Bringing joy to others is one of the happiest moments we can experience, so by helping others we also help ourselves. Anyways thats just my two cents. |

| Yes I agree too. We all have a purpose. We dont just come here all of a sudden. I find it hard to believe that things just happen without any reason. That makes life meaningless. I have come to believe that the higher self (which is nothing but the real you) is not really concerned about what job you do or what car you drive etc as long as you have the experience. Its true that in some cases it might be the job or the career. Sometimes it can be just that your higher self wants an experience that will help you grow consciously. Even the family and circumstances we are born into are decided before hand to fullfil that purpose which means if someone is born into a bad family, its because they chose it to be that way. Thats my 2 cents. |

| This is what is know as the law of karma. A central theme in Buddhism and Hinduism.
