Astral Projection or Lucid Dream?

This morning I had an experience where it felt like I was coming out of my body from my bed, yet I could sort of alter the reality I was in, like solid objects were more liquified, allowing me to pass through.

The wierd thing about this was I looked in the mirror during this experience and saw my physical body with my physical eyes shut! That didn't wake me up or anything but is that normal, or was that just a projection of my consciousness? I mean I didn't look back to see if my body was in bed. I felt my legs so it was like I was walking and I regained my sight so to speak but it was really weird at first, it took awhile to adjust.

So the main question of this thread, is if the mirror thing has happend to anyone else here and what could it have been?

This sounds like an astral projection to me. If it is a lucid dream you become aware that you are dreaming and has another feel to it than astral projection. But lucid dreams can be used as a springboard for astral projection.

Did you feel yourself floating out of your body?

In a sense yes but it wasn't vertical, I actually felt myself almost falling out of my bed and was nervous that I was actually going to fall. Eventually though I used my "astral legs" is what I would call it and got up. My room looked pretty much the same, with the mirror being in front of me. That's when I noticed my body which looked normal but my eyes were just shut so maybe I was see'ing with my third eye. It was pretty weird.

I guess this would classify as my 1st concious OBE..and all I can say is..wow! Talk about relief.

yeah, to me it definetly sounds like an astral projection. why don't you ask a professional

Sounds like a great experience.

Most of the times I have had astral projections, I usually "wake up" in my bed. It takes me some time to realize that I'm not physically awake, but when I do I can just raise my upperbody and step on to the floor. I have had some problems remaining in the astral for more than a few moments at a time though.
