why do I get headaches when I cleanse my third eye?

is that just junk being released or am I getting it stronger for the first time like how your body feels stiff after working out for the first time in years

What do you mean when you say, "...I cleanse my third eye"??? When you say third eye do you mean like you have another sense? Please explain.

Before you end the meditation session, balance the energies between the upper body and lower body chakras. You can also do some grounding exercises like directing the energy from the third eye back to the root chakra.

I used this tutorial years ago (it says witchcraft, but there's way too much thinking involved so I consider it psionics.) I introduced it to an acquaintance on another board, and later he reported feeling a "cork" where the third eye would be, and the course writer does describe a "pressure". Mine personally presents as tickles around the third eye but slightly to medially painful aches at the heart and solar plexus. If it's not so localized, (say migraine or tension-type head ache,) I would say it's dehydration from extended meditating... but if it's localized pain then I'd say it's normal! But your guess is as good as mine why that is.

I've had distubances and pressure in my third eye area that is bothersome sometimes. One thing I really hate is sometimes it's like there is a light shining in my third eye. So when my eyes are closed, the darkness that is normally there is actually bright and blinding and makes me want to close my eyes, only they are already closed so that doesn't help. It feels like someone has pried my eyes open and is shining a bright light at me. It's very hard to get rid of it. Not sure what causes it.

The meditation I do is a guided one that runs you through all the chakras which is great because I dont want to become too top heavy. I talked to a friend on mine last night and this is what he told me:

"When you "cleanse" it you are focusing your attention there and as a result energy travels and collects there.

Headaches and third eye pressure are quite common in the beginning with energy development as your body gets used to the increased energy and newly opened pathways. Don't expect the sensations to go away any time soon though. My third eye has had pressure of varying intensity for at least half a year now and I get pressure headaches after lots of spiritual practice."

If this helps anyone who has a similar problem. Its annoying but a good sign that Im opening my chakras up more.

Hello, Just thought I would butt in at this point, to tell all of you about your companion chakra's - there are two, one each side of every chakra, it is these that regulate the amount of energy going into and out of the main chakra point and act like vents, when they are blocked you will feel most of the sensations in the main chakra, you will find them located about 5 cms away from the main chakra, concentrate on cleaning these first
Also it would be helpful if you also clean the back two as well
So the sequence goes like this
two at the front, then, the two at the back - then main chakra, then clean the back chakra point, you should feel a cold sensation, like a draught wafting through when all is finally clean,
If you cant do it in your mind then use the centre of the palm of the hand to help gently guide the energy into the point. Rather difficult to do it at the back, you could get a friend to help!

Man,to get your third eye activated,you have to have soul contact which activates your pituitary body.What you are talking about is Ajna center in front of your forehead which is related to that gland and the third eye.There is also another head center,Sahasrara-the "Thousand petalled lotus" which activates the pineal gland.When these two glands swing into activity,they create the third eye. There are 7 major etheric centers connected with the glands in the body,and a lot more minor ones.When the two major head centers are awakend,that is a very advanced stage,and you begin to actually see the light of the soul.

for about 3 weeks...I recently discoverd that I can be a medium, I got a name of an angel named suriel.

Yes, I think that your idea of the "third eye" is located at the crown of your third leg James

But seriously...you've never heard of the brow chakra? This is located between the two eyebrows and is the centre of intuitive process, in sprirtual practise.

Interesting angel name.. I almost wonder if you don't mean uriel?

That's a well *known* one for most people..

Technically, everyone should be having headaches.. based on this very old metatron channeling I read, today
