Past a certain point though, my dreams became extremely boring and mundane and occasionally I revisit the past, but I don't dream about the future anymore... it's weird. | |

The first time I had one, I just recall realizing within the dream that I was in fact dreaming, and from then all I think I runned because I wanted to run, I think I've tried flying once, great feeling. But the last time I had a lucid one I was just an expectator watching a Paul McCartney concert from a balcony, I was lucid all right, but instead of me doing anything, I stayed listening to his music, as he played exactly what I wanted him to play, it was like I was giving him instructions which I wasn't doing, he just played what I wanted him to play... Great concert! It was short though |

I sort of lucid dreamed a little this morning. I was halfway between awake and asleep, starting to drift back, and dreamt about doors in front of me... I realized I was dreaming, could make the doors open and close with my mind. I didn't get much further because for some reason I decided to wake up instead, the sun was shining right through my window onto my face.

I dream lots. The thing is remembering while dreaming. That I'm Dreaming! This morning after getting up and moving to the couch to take a nap at my bro's place. Suddenly I was at my Old House back in Washington State. It was snowing Beautifully white about a good foot of snow. I even grabbed a pile of it and made a snowball and felt the icy-cold snow with my hands. Then I realized I was dreaming! Yay! Usually I freak-out and abandon the dream, not this time I decided I'm going to fly. And it was freaking awesome! I could overlook my whole town of Yakima, WA!! Then I landed on a green lawn, I noticed to bulldogs charging my way. Usually I run, yet this time since I remembered I'm dreaming I asked "What do you want?!" And attempted to *punch* the dogs yet my hands will go right through them! Wha da?! So I flew again, and saw lots of asian warriors with bald and with those pony-tails and a lady with a red-robe (long dark black hair saw her from behind intent was to get a little jiggy with her mmhmm). I attempted to fly over to her yet was held back, I went towards a warrior and pulled his pony tail and placed on myself and out of sudden I was transformed into a little 8yr old. For several years i had a repeating dream of being able to fly on a magic carpet, and just recently i had a dream where i didnt need a magic carpet to fly, i could do it just by myself. Its an amazing feeling, the best dream i have ever had. Being able to soar threw the air looking down at the houses below me. Its spectacular. When i woke up it felt as though i could jump up and start flying agian, if only you could ! Anyway, i was curious to what all these flying dreams meant and starting looking into dreams when i discovered what lucid dreamingis, only to realize I have had a lucid dream befor ! So, the villians from the book animorphs were attacking my neighborhood and me and my family were running away and were going to go to a friends house for some reason.. anyway our trip to her house seemed to have taken forever, and while i was looking around at the distruction these bad animorphors were doing and freaking out myself i realized, oh wait, this is a dream, you can wake up now.. and i woke up, What a waste ! I think i have had other lucid dreams were i realize im dreaming and then just wake myself up, but now that i realize what is actaully going on im gonna for sure try out lucid dreaming and go flying agian Last edited by bestbudde; 07-06-2010 at 05:36 PM. |

It wasnt a lucid dream but a very long and strange dream. It started with me and some kid at a house in florida with huge waves crashing into rock. I asked him if he remembered this place because we came here last year for vacation. He said he was at king island while i was on vacation. Then we walked on a board walk and it turns out it was a line for huge diving boards. i was scared but i did a cannonball and went all they way to the bottom. Then i stayed underwater for a long time and hen i went back up everyone was asking if i was all right. Then another one of my friends and me went on this weird waterslide. there were two younger kids going down in front of us and he stood up on the slide and held his tube to his crotch and started humping it. the kids said "im telling your mom" and i said "shes dead". then they said "well ill tell your dad" then i said hes dead too. i forget what happened next but then we were on a balcony looking out at the sea and we saw red sea monster. then i remember us talking about my party tonight. then i was in a store with some friends and it started rain giant pirahnas and they were making the whole ground vibrate. Then we somehow ended up in a house and were talking to my friends mom about the sea monsters we saw. eventually i ended up at my house and started playing a game called haze. i played against a computer. then i quit because a friend came to my house . suddely i ended up at my friends house. then i was leaving because i was having a party that night. i went out of his house to see a car with a guy dressed as Santa getting out. he then beat the crap out of a girl. i figured out he is a killer named the collector who collects different types of people. i helped the girl who somehow didn't die and we jumped her fence that was barbed wire but had a plastic tube over the wire. we went into her house and we were scarred the collector was hiding in the house. more people started coming into the house. then i decided that i needed to get home because i had a party to host. a was about to run out of the house but then my brother woke me up.

i went to bead trying to force a lucid dream. and I had one of my first lucid dream experiences. i was dreaming i was in a war and i was running around shooting everyone and after getting shot about 100 hundred time i fell to the floor and then a guy came over and split my chest cavity open with a huge knife and then i felt like my spirit came up out of my body and i was walking around in the same dream as a spirit and i looked into a mirror (immediately remembering researching that this was a way of doing a reality check) and i knew instantly i was dreaming. I was so excited I woke up, but i immediately fell back asleep into the same dream and looked at another mirror rite away and then again realized I was dreaming and got excited again. This time I became fully conscious inside my dream world and I wanted to test my ability to fly and I started running through the forest and jumped as high as I could and it was like I took off like a rocket and at first I could really control myself very well but I ended up getting the hang of it. I then flew over to the beach but as I was flying the earth below turned into a mini version and it was like Google earth when it can’t load all the way. Even though I didn’t know how to control my lucid dream very well I was still very excited that I achieved lucid dreaming on my first night attempting to. I had lucid dreamed before in my childhood naturally but this was the first time after I started researching about it and I hadn’t had one in a long time. This lucid dream was weird because every time I would start lucid dreaming I would enter what seemed like another dream on top of my other dream but when id awake from my lucid dream which I thought id awaken I had just gone back to the normal dream where id realize I was dreaming again. It was like I had a dream in a dream.

So far, I can only remember having 2 lucid dreams. One of them was when I was in elementary school, I dreamed I was in school, and it was really rainy. Suddenly, I realized I was in a dream, though I don't know how I knew. To make sure, I went I tried to jump and flip around and latch my feet onto the ceiling. I could do it, so I thought, "Hey, this is pretty cool!", so I climbed out the window, jumped, and fell 4 stories. My second one was in middle school, when I dreamed I was talking to my mom. I suddenly decided to tell her about my crush. And she was like, "Oh ok." So I asked her,"You mean you think it's ok?" She told me, yeah go for it! I thought for a minute then thought it was too good to be true, and I must be dreaming. She said, yes, I was dreaming. I got a bit desperate and asked her to tell me when I was awake that she knew what was going on. She said, "Ok, if by some chance I get telepathic powers, I will. So I woke up and my mother was sitting on a chair beside me and said, "I know about your crush." I was amazed, then I looked at the digital clock on a table near by. The numbers on it didn't make any sense and were flashing around so I went, "Oh f!ck it's a dream." Then I woke up. |

Oooo! This is a fun thread! My first lucid dream was in a school. I was looking at the bulletin board and all the items on it were very vivid and colorful. It was beautiful. I then knew it was a dream and all the imagery became amazing. It didn't feel "less real" it felt more playful. I felt I could really enjoy everything I was seeing because I was looking through eyes of mystery. I didn't know what made the stuff I was seeing in the same way I'm used to knowing it. And so everything looked magical. My funniest would have to be when I saw a vial of black liquid in a jar that looked like ink. I knew it was a dream and couldn't hurt me. And so I just picked up the little jar and decided to drink the black liquid like a shot. It was by far the worst tasting substance I've ever had in my entire life. It was so awful I immediately gagged myself awake. |

So one time I obtained lucidity in the middle of a conversation with a person in my dream. I said "this is a dream, your not real." this persons mood went from happy to hostile and I had a feel of complete terror. I felt as if the person were going to attack me, so, instead of enjoying my dream I had to wake myself up. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this?

I've never personally had that happen with my lucid dreams, as usually my dream characters tend to just disappear once I go Lucid. If you want to see a LOT of information about what you've described, find a copy of "Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self" by Robert Waggoner. |

Hey, I had the weirdest dream the other night, I was asleep and was walking back to my house from work, then all of a sudden I heard this screaming and closed me eyes and it was asif the scene of my dream morphed in a cloud and i was stood in the middle of a cobbled london street at night in 1922. I knew I was dreaming when i was in the dream and it was asif i controlled what I did, everybody around me was dressed in old fashioned clothes and they had all made this massive cirrcle around me and were just staring at me, I was wearing modern clothes, denim shorts a top and cardy and i have middle length dark purple hair. I decided to walk up to this guy and as him where I was and he said i was in london 1922, everybody was watching me like a hawk and I didn't know what to do, so I ran down the road. Then my dream changed again and I was stood in a court room in 1922 and the judge was like what's you d.o.b and i told them that I couldn't say, and then they had my bag which had my phone, purse, keys, everything in it and i was like 'dont look in there, you'll regret it!!!!' they all looked at me as if i were a freak, 'why?' the judge said, 'because you'll change alot of things if you do, trust me'. I thought about somebody getting me out of here and then... Finally a wealthy looking man stood up and said, 'i think we should believe this woman she obviously isnt from around here and maybe we could learn something from her, I suggest she stays with me and be submitted for questioning to see how she lives her life,' the judge stood up and said, 'very well doctor, we expect to be told regular of your findings, trial over' Then my dream ended, i wonder if you can revisit a dream another night and keep it going? Anyway I was researching dreams and came accross lucid dreaming and it was describing what happened to me exactly!!! Also Ive read that you can visit past lives or relive past memories from ast lives in your dreams do you think that is what happened to me?? Thanks sarah x |

I watched a bee hovering in front of a tiny doorway, then watching it, realized I was dreaming! I knew I could do whatever I liked now, so decided to open the tiny door and just dive through it. The bee went first when I opened the door, then I went through and was performing some aerobatics having a great time. I was in the air over a school sports hall, and came slowly down to land on a mat by some wall bars. Wow! I thought, I can have fun now, there's no-one around! Sudden panic, because I remembered it was Friday night, and there I was, locked in the school sports hall. I got upset about that, thinking I'd get mighty hungry by Monday morning! Er....duh!! (forgot about the fact that lucid dreaming meant I could do anything....including fly right out again!) |

I guess in one way or another i've been lucid dreaming pretty much all my life. Even if i don't always consciously think "I'm Dreaming" I have always tried to exercise some control over my dreams and on occasion i've said "I think I'm dreaming and can do whatever i want" while within a dream. I recently read about lucid dreaming and began wondering what it would be like to be completely conscious of my self in a dream. I wondered what it would be like to be as aware as i am right now while in a dream. Last night for a few moments i achieved just that. I recall walking down a hallway of what i think was some kind of shopping center and suddenly - entirely out of nowhere i realized that i was dreaming. The realization was so clear and strong that i could feel myself waking up because of the utter shock. I managed to calm myself down and remain in the dream. I considered exploring but because i didn't want to wake up i decided to take it slow and just do some little experiments to test what i could do. I wanted to try flying but i have a fear of heights and i decided that i might wake up if i scared myself that way so i took some bouncy steps - almost exactly like a moon walk was what i was thinking. My alarm went off before i could accomplish much more but it was very interesting and i feel confident that i'll be able to lucid dream again. I'm exited about exploring and trying more experiments. |

I can't remember if this was my first lucid dream but i dreamt that i was walking along the street that i was living in at the time. The whole street had turned into green fields and there were just a few old buildings dotted here and there. Then i started flying and came to a very old fashioned inn.I looked at the name and told myself to notice every detail and remember the name for when i woke up.So i must have realised that i was dreaming. Inside the inn it was very dark and people, dressed in old fashioned dress, were drinking and sitting around big, wooden, beer barrels. Then i got a bit concerned that i wouldnt have any of their money to pay for a drink. I looked at my hand and some old fashioned coins appeared. It was at this point that i woke up.

Just remembered a couple of dreams, one that i had quite often as a child.I must have been about 4 or 5 years old and i would often dream that i woke up in the living room down stairs and it was pitch black. I would feel very frightened and cold and just as i was about to scream my head off i would feel as though i had been dropped into bed and i would open my eyes and see my bedroom. Don't know if it qualifies as a lucid dream or not but the next one will. I dreamed that i woke up in a hospital ward in my pj's( the ones that i had gone to sleep in that night.) There were about four other people in the room and we started chatting. One, a male, said that he was french and gave me his name. I remember thinking, that i must remember his name for when i woke up, so that i could see if the name really exhisted, as i had never heard it before. Then i tried to find out the location of the hospital and to make a note of everything that i saw before i woke up. |

My dreams have been happening on and off for the past 12 years. It started as sleep paralysis. I would open my eyes and i could not move. The first time that happened to me i thought i was abducted by aliens or something. Eventually i loved waking up not being able to move, it was a challenge. A few years ago, i opened my eyes unable to move and i saw red headed boy staring at me, i was not scared, it was not creepy or anything, he did not move. I could never tell if i was asleep or awake, but i started to realize i was awake in a dream that is why my body could not move. I have figured out how to move, i wanted to try everything so i got out of bed, jumped out my window, jumped to the front of my house like someone would jump on the moon with no gravity. Then i saw a volcano erupt, then i woke up. I have now mastered lucid dreaming. When i want to lucid dream, i lay down for bed, i stay aware that i am falling asleep and after about 15 min. i feel my body take a deep breathe like im about to begin my snoring, and thats when i wake up in my dream and i am free. I dont know if its possible, but i want to somehow explore seeing the future. Edgar Cayce saw the future when he slept, it would be a cool thing to do. But who knows, its fun lucid dreaming even if i cant see the future. |

New to this site and trying to get the hang of things. I had very short lucid dreams/nightmares so I hope that telling my most interesting lucid dream counts. I was in Walgreens (Yes, Walgreens) walking down the aisles when the lights just suddenly turned off and the floor fell out from under me. I actually felt like I was falling. Then I landed I guess in the same Walgreens. (Does that make sense? Falling into the same place you were?) But this time there was whole crowd of people surrounding me. Including my grandpa, who is deceased. And I saw my old bike resting neatly next to some rubber balls. It was super weird. I don't really think it meant anything. |

Here is a copy paste of my very first lucid dreaming experience. Keep in mind that this is copy paste and i did not edit it, so it is still quite raw. Get over the horrible grammar, i was just getting my thoughts down before i forgot them. ------------------- I JUST HAD MY FIRST LUCID DREAM I was falling asleep when suddenly I was dreaming. I never saw it coming as usual. But I was outside of a building, that I assumed was my dads work. I was trying to get my car from a repair shop that was there too. When suddenly I was stuck in a room that was being demolished or something. I panicked and though that this couldn’t be the end. And that’s when I realized I was dreaming. I knew what to do. I focused, and concentrated. The room was flying through the air but I stopped it. Then I push the metal walls and they fell away. I floated for a while, but then I decided to fly. (Was not as much fun as I though it’d be) so I landed. I was in my backyard, which was somewhat off, with a bunch of, believe it or not, pokemon. **** my memory is fading I played with them. The pokemon, I tried to firebreathe. That was interesting. But then a dog started growling at me and it scared the pokemon away. So I tried to scare it off. I imagined myself being a even bigger and scarier dog. And for a moment it ran off scared. I was so overjoyed it worked that I lost focus, and then the dog came back. So I got angry. I focused even more on being a big and scary dog, and I could tell it worked. But then the dog started changing into one too. So I fought it. (This is where my memory gets fuzzy). All I remember is that eventually I strangled it with its own body (I guess I was so focused on it that the dog started coming apart. Not gory like, but more elastic like). I remember strangling it and just using my hands to crush it. (Side note: I think I heard a voice too, which I heard all along but didn’t regard, because as I crushed it’s mouth I remember hearing a distinct change in what I think was a voice.) Anyway eventually the dog’s head starting tearing and that’s when the blood came. It was weird blood. Like when you try to get ketchup and you get the clear watery part? It was like that only sticky and more pink. After that I think I went animalistic and that’s where the memory gets really bad. After whatever happened happened, I ran inside (Through the side door of my house) to the kitchen and washed off the blood. My hands were gloved which I don’t remember doing, but I know I was conscious of them being there before. And the gloves started to tear at the tip of my left index finger. That’s when I tasted the blood in my mouth. (At this point I was still loosely aware of my body, and I figured if I spat it out, I would wake up.) So I tried to dribble it, but it still happened. But as I was starting to wake, I remember I looked out the door at the last second. And I saw the dog there, perfectly fine. He walked by me without regarding me much. Then I woke up. ------------------------ There was more after this, but that is all just my analysis of my dream, my experiences, and technique. |

I don't remember my first one, I've had them since I was a kid. I used to call them "controlled dreams", as in dreams I could control, before I learned the official term. But probably my funniest one, took place about a year ago. I was outside at a picnic table with my wife and her family. I looked up in the sky and saw 2 moons in the sky (a repeating motif in my dreams). As soon as I saw that, I realized I was dreaming, became lucid, and knowing I could get away with anything, I grabbed a gun, shot my mother in law, and then started dancing and singing "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead!" |

I have ever since a young age had the most vivid dreams there was one time where I thought I had awoken but that i've looked back on the situation I can almost guarentee it was a false awakening. I was about 4 years old I am now 20 years old but it has stuck with me, it wasnt anything long actually very short. I cant remember the dream I was having before this happened but I thought I had woken up and rolled over in my face was a figure of head I couldnt see any details but the fact it was face to face with me scared the S*** out of me! I rolled over as fast as I could and clinched the wall I woke up in a completely different position. I have recently been looking up everything I could about lucid dreaming sleep paralysis ect. I last night tried to do the whole lucid dreaming I laid down with my eyes closed (which seemed to be for forever) I first realized I couldnt move, then I started to hear things (I scare very easily so these noises are what I believe kept me from lucid dreaming) but I heard a viberating sound what I took to be a cellphone but it was close to my head it was continuous then I heard as if someone was walking around the room it wasnt even the sound that scared me it was the fact I felt the presence of someone in the room with me my heart started racing I mean I felt as if I was going to have a heart attack the only thing that stopped all of this from happening was the fact my boyfriend bumped into me while rolling over and in some sense knocked me out of whatever was going on! I would LOVEE some pointers or anything I can use to help calm my nerves I believe reading so much about it has helped but I would really like to become more experienced with lucid dreaming! Any tips would be amazing! |

My first official lucid dream was earlier today. in the morning to be exact. I was in my room, but everything was gone but my bed, even my closet and the paint on my roof! my brother was on my bed and my dad was beside it. i instantly knew i was dreaming. i told my brother i was dreaming and my dad said i wasnt. to prove it i tried to form something in my hand but it wouldnt work, so i tried to fly instead. but i ended up jumping up high in the air and floating down. my dad just said wow. before i knew it i was fighting off a zombie apocolypse. i was still awake so i was thinking. "wow, my dreams really are VERY wierd now that im in it" and i just whent with it. then i was walking along looking for a shelter. by now i couldnt control my movement, but i was still slightly aware. i found a ramp into an underground room, but the room itself was also slanted. i thiought to myself i was not going down there. then i woke up when my mom wanted me to shower in the morning. IT WAS THE MOST LUCID IVE EVER BEEN!!! its really an awesome experiance, you feel like your actualy there!

I could write a novel about the amount of weird real-feeling dreams that I've had over the years; my most conurrent dreams tend to be of me flying, lately my dreams are of me flying using energy manipulation. To me they feel so real, with the feeling of the energy flowing downwards, the feeling of my body lifting upwards and the physics of me trying to balance myself on the cushion of energy underneath that lifts me up... My first true lucid dream was where I woke up in the morning before school just like any other morning and went through to the livingroom for breakfast. It was so real that when I woke up for real, it took me a while to work out that that I was actually dreaming the first time 'round. The only fault that helped me work out it was a dream was when I started playing Jenga because I doubt Mum would've let me play Jenga half an hour before I had to get the bus for school and I threw my old Jenga set out years ago. |

At first I was at a Kroger and got caught steeling a golf ball (don,t know why hah) and I ended up putting it back. Then I was sitting outside talking to this girl when I realised I was dreaming cause of the Fact that there were hugeazz trees right next to us. I told her "Lindly i'm dreaming, you're in my dream" and ran out in the street and stoped a car, opened the passenger door got in and lightly slapped the driver and said "Hey buddy you're in my dream" and laughed and got out. But when I got out I was in the middle of a field all the sudden hanging out by a truck with a few other people. I told them, I was dreaming and they just looked at me funny so I looked for something to prove to them that this wasn't real. I saw a commercial jet flying backwords and said "look at that, don't see that everyday" and one kid replys "Oh. they probably put the rotars on backwards that's why it's flying like that" I was thinkin WTF Realy!? So I said alright how bout this and stuck my hand through the truck and they all jus laughed and walked off. We were at some party and I was trying to figure out what dreams were and was just watching people. I asked several different people where we were at and they either said something irrelevant to my answere or said "yea one second" (idk why hah) So I was sitting next to this girl and she brought out some weed (Marijuana) but it looked like the roots of a plant/tree with black clam shell looking things on the end. I asked her to let me see it and she said "Boy this is my ♥♥♥♥♥ go get your own" I said "♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is my dream and I don't even smoke let me see it" guess she felt bad and let me see the weed. It was... stick/wet feeling and I gave it back and smelled my fingers and she laughed and said "haha that's the same thing I did when I first saw it but the weed's in here" she pointed to the clamshell thing and by itself opend up and the weed was inside it and I was in the middle of asking her what planet are we on and the dream blurred out and I woke up. Haha I love it when I get lucid in dreams lol |
