Thinking about Past Lives

What if one of us has a past life experience during one of these seminars/conferences and sees himself as Hitler or some other infamous villain from history? What would your reaction be to that?

Similarly, what if you had a past life experience and you saw yourself as, say, Yeshua ben Yosef? How would you take it?

I doubt itll happen in the futu re though, hitler got a few thousand lives of misery ahead of him:P

Actually, Hitler's next life/lives may not be miserable. His goal will be to be compassionate and learn kindness, so he may incarnate into a family of healers and learn to heal others. That's how karma plays out. It's not about punishment.

Although the odds of someone having been a famous historical figure are very small, someone out there has to be the reincarnation of them. So it could happen but it is definitely unlikely, just from an odds perspective.

On that note... how quickly do people move on? Wouldn't someone like Hitler dawdle for awhile contemplating what he has done? I would assume that would take atleast 100 years or so.

That depends on what your belief is regarding reincarnation. Myself, I think that if reincarnation exists, then it is instantaneous. The energy that makes up your identity immediately seeks a new host upon death.

If that's the case, then Hitler is already among us. Assuming, of course, he was able to find a new body in the flood of dislocated souls produced by World War II.

I don't believe people reincarnate right away. There are too many spirit guides up there who have had physical incarnations who are acting as guides now. Could be 1 year, could be 100.

I have to wonder if there is a certain time set between lives. Based on some early childhood observations I had which led me to read of reincarnation study from a very young age. I had a baby brother when I was about 12. As soon as he began to speak at age two in a very adult type manner, he would tell me and my parents about his last life. What it was like, what his parents told him, his dog's name, his brothers name. He told me he was very happy to have a sister in this life. He described in vivid details what his house was like, the kind of car they drove, even the shows he watched on T.V.! The places they visited on vacations. I would question him and get in trouble because my parents thinking he was very odd did not want me to encourage him. We talk about this occasionally now, he does not remember any of it. Recently my Mother and I had a converstation and she told me when I started talking I had a deep southern accent. I was born in Chicago and we did not get a television and did not go to the Theaters when I was little, so this is still another mystery my Mom still tries to figure out about her strange children. If I were to discover that I was an evil figure responsible for such death and torture, I would seek shelter from the masses! Never to tell!

My brother-in-law, who claims he doesn't believe in life after death or reincarnation, told me, just after his best mate died in his arms earlier this year, that he has had the same dream all his life of being a young soldier in the second world war and walking down a path into a church in France. As he stood at front of the church praying, a German soldier flung open the door and shot him through the back. He said he died instantly and chased the soldier back down the path to ask him why he did it. He said he'd know the church if he saw it again and wants to go to France and find it.

Dear All,

Well, this is my first post as a member. I wish to share with you story of my friend. He is a lecturer and he many times had a dream that he is visiting some temple. The same temple would be seen in the dream many times. However, there was never any of its kind around. His post was transferrable.One posting he got in a small town. He went to see the town around and Wow! He saw the same temple that had been in his dream for years. He had never visited that town earlier in his life. So it does prove that we have some past connections.

Hi Sunil,
Welcome aboard. Your lecturers dream may have been precognitive as opposed to past life. Where his sleeping mind was showing him something significant in his future rather than his past.

i often wonder if our lives are mapped out by us.
i dont ride with karma being a punishment,i dont think we'd punish ourselves, but its more fitting if we feel our lives are mapped out by us as it gives us a sense of responsibility over our life situation.
if you cant get out of a situation or remove yourself from it, theres always a way through it. and theres always new fears round the corner. and we will carry on facing our fears until they dissolve
i believe hitler like many were puppets controlled by some higher force.
and he lived in fear. maybe his next soul journey is to experience what its like to face his fear, without shrinking back. whatever that may be.i know thats what i have to do

But surely time doesn't mean the same thing here as it does there. 100 years of torment/contemplation/happy peace and boredom/whatever could already have passed for Hitler's spirit, and he could be now reincarnated in under 100 years Earth time. Ne?

hey I did a past life regression one time.
I was playing around on the net reading random things and found one thats instructed you have 2 people one to question and one to go back I don't have 2 people so I just pretended you start but relaxing yourself, I did this a bit but didn't pay it to much mind because I didn't think it would work, then you are suppose to imagine you are flying out of your body and way out though clouds and stuff it said something about mountains, in my head I saw a old man and a book on the peak of the highest mountain and I stopped and looked at the book but couldn't see anything or couldn't imagine anything or anything important, then I read back in the guide that I'm suppose to be looking for a book, the akashic records.
After that you are suppose to fly back up into the clouds and into your past life when I went back up it was into a storm cloud (still don't know why) and in my last life I was some island farmer and some military (nazis in my head) where questioning me about my kid or something and then the leader shot me 3 times.
The next part I keep trying to go back to but I have trouble focusing on it -
some one or some people where asking me about what just happened and I stayed silent then there was something about a everyone was waiting for me and I remember thinking or being told I need to compleat the cycle or something I stepped into something and that was it.

i have had 2 readings done. In one i was a young boy who died in a train ( a reallly old train ) accident. In the other one i was a 20ish woman who worked in a brothel and was hung for some reason.

I am new to this forum and a little uncertain about how to begin. I have been having, what I call, experiences of the twilight zone, since the past couple of years. Briefly it is about my partial ability to see my own auras as well as as auras around trees, precognative dreams, hypnopompia and hypnogogia as well what I think are spontaneous recollection of past life scenes during certain states of drowsiness.
