Introducing Myself as I am, needing guidance

I am new to this blog, and it seems the Universe has directed me here. I have had a lifetime thus far of psychic experiences. From the time I was a young child I have had dreams of deaths of loved ones as they died. At first my Mother attributed my dream of the first death to me being so close to my Grandfather and just sensing he was ill. I dreamed the exact details of his death and awoke to the phone call letting us know he had died. These dreams continued of other relatives until my sister died in a horrible auto accident, when the "feeling" of some inpending doom left me in my awake state almost crippled to the point I was unable to answer the call when it came. I managed to all but block these dreams out of my life for a long while after that but they came crashing back in the past 20 years with the details becoming stronger and more defined. I do not know when I started to dream in the Lucid form but it was at least 20 years ago. This has progressed to the point that I will open my eyes and I will see people that have died or spirits perhaps, some known, some not and I freak out usually and scream out in the darkness to get away, leave me alone. My daughter has stopped flying in my room to find out who I am screaming at? I have injured myself physically when these sightings have frightened me by hitting and punching walls and even my nightstand one night. When I have dreams of premonitions such as a dream I had about 9-11, the details are clear but I have no concept of where I am as I see what will happen. I do not see how I can use these powers to help is the reason I fight so hard to block the sightings. If I can't warn or prevent, what can I do?

I would suggest asking your higher self for guidance in this. Ask why you are being shown this, what is the purpose and what you can do with this information. You can also ask not to be shown this information as well.

I just want to first of all support you in taking the perspective that this sensitivity of yours to Spirits is something you can and will gain control of, so that it is truly a gift and not a distraction or burden on your life!

Before anything else, set clear intentions before you go to sleep. Your home and your bedroom are your sacred space to rest and rejuvenate yourself. It is not a place where Spirits should come without your permission! Smudge your home with sage, and ask for blessing and protection from Divine Source, disallowing further intrusion.

Secondly - there is an organization in Spirit called the Third Order who is responsible for transporting Souls in and out of this lifetime. They also do binding work on negative Souls for us. Most likely, you have worked within the Third Order in between lifetimes, and departed and Earthbound Spirits know that you can assist them onward. But, because you are in an incarnation, this is not your only job - you have your own highest path and purpose to focus on, and working with Spirits can't be your only job.

So - you might want to try designating a place in your home (NOT your bedroom!) where, before you go to sleep, you can ask Spirits that need your assistance to present themselves. You can then pray for them and ask Divine Creator and the Third Order to transport these Souls to the astral plane justly earned, so that they may transition appropriately, in alignment with their highest good. Earthbound Spirits do not have the vital force energy necessary to make this request on their own, that's why they are seeking you out.

Make this a habit - Spirits that need your help need to wait until you're ready to get your attention! You ARE in charge of this process.

Before you sleep, you may also wish to issue an intention to your astral Guide, that your sleep remain undisturbed, without Spirits presenting themselves to you in the middle of the night. Your Astral Guide is the one that keeps you safe in your dream, or astral, time. If you open yourself up in a controlled and conscious manner before you go to bed, do the work necessary to move these Souls onward, and then set the intent on an undisturbed sleep, this should help your situation a great deal.

I hope this helps! You may down the road wish to work with someone who has had some training in these areas, to learn how to control your sensitivity. Yours can be a wonderful gift, but if it is overwhelming, creates fear or disturbs your life, you must draw appropriate boundaries in your own highest good.

Wow! I had all but given up on replies to these problems and I can't thank you, both of you, enough for your guidance. I will try to open myself up before I go to bed. Part of the problem could come with lack of privacy with the exception of my bedroom. My ability to block spirits worked for awhile in my life, I was just frightened, I knew they were real. It was the feeling of not knowing what I could do about them that was the larges obstacle. I have been reading books by Brian Weiss M.D. for the past two weeks and have read 4 of them and feel assured of reincarnation, Having the NDE when I was young and experiencing the light found me convinced but I stopped reading so much of it and now I find myself trying to meditate and recieve in those times. I am still getting visitors in my room! Not always disturbing , not always dead, sometimes it is the people in my everyday life to bring me something or a request. One night I had a dream that my oldest daughter was cold and shivering. (dream?) and I got up out of bed with a blanket to cover her, when I started searching around I woke up from what seemed like a trance and realized she no longer lives with me and hasn't for years. Yes, she called me the next morning to say she was so cold and she woke up with a blanket on her that she had no recollection of getting and had dreamt I was there covering her up. These are stange occurences but rather funny. But the ones where I see plane crashes or disasters follow me around for weeks until they happen. Spirits seem to appear and I yell at them to prevent them from falling when they are up on my dresser. Last night found me waking up to opening a box that was not there. I was being shown old paperwork and I had my identification and my old papers in laminate. I was being asked how and why I did that. I responded aloud, "In the usual way." I woke up knowing I was sealing myself off from memories or messages. anyway, I will try all you have suggested. Thanks again:

I too have had dreams/premonitions of loved ones dying. My brother, father, ex husband, and brother-in law all died with out warning through my life. My last of such dreams was the night before my guinea pig Ike died in which he cuddled into my arms and went limp. In the morning I gave him his food and he kept looking at me, but I gave no thought to it. (I now regret not giving him his favorite lettuce as a special treat for breakfast, as it was his usual afternoon snack.) Anyway, when I got home he was hiding, had no appetite for lettuce and appeared blind. I picked him up and he indeed cuddled his last cuddle. Now, as far as these sad experiences are concerned, I have learned that there is nothing to do but accept them, and grieve. Write down your dreams if you wish, and perhaps you will also see a pattern of fortunate events coming to pass as well as the deaths, illnesses, losses. Our souls are indeed in touch with the Universal Mind, so when we dream precognitively, we are tapping into a mighty force.

Is it possible that by trying to block premonitions in the day, my logical Scientific Mind is fighting the right spiritual brain while deep inside I am truly frightened by what I see and feel. I have been gone as there was another death in the family. Not unexpected at all, an Aunt that had several strokes a few years ago left in a wheelchair and partially paralyzed. Her first Great Grandaughter had been killed in a car crash at the age of 17 this past winter. A horrible trajedy for all who knew her. My Aunt was devastated by the death and had given up her will to live as I found out later. She came to me one week before her death ( I loved her but have never dreamed of her before, I saw her very rarely) in the dream she sat in her chair and she had made little dresses and handed them to me with a huge smile on her face.( I have 3 grown daughters and 1 young son ) I replied a giant Thank You for they were just incredibly beautiful, she smiled the most radiant smile and stood up out of her wheel chair and hugged me tight. The next morning I called my Mom to ask about her health and she told me that she was dying. I had decided she had come to say goodbye not only to me but to all of her girls. The smile her happiness in the decision to join her husband and her Great Granddaughter. My question is in the decision to die or the knowledge that you are about to, when does your soul leave, after death? In cases where a person is left in a permanent vegatative state but are being kept alive by machines? Do they move on when the brain has shut down. When does the soul move on and leave the body?
