psychic hearing in dreams?

Hi everyone,

I just had a really strange experience last night and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on it.

Last night I was sleeping at a friend's house. I was sleeping in a bed in one of her spare bedrooms which I have done before several times. For some reason every time I sleep in this bedroom I pass out cold and have very intense dreams. Last night was no exception.

About midway through the night I awoke to a ringing sensation in my ears. I could hear voices which at the time I thought were my friends who were sleeping in the other two bedrooms. It wouldn't make sense for them to be talking though because we were all asleep. The voices sounded a bit in distress.

At one point I thought to myself - "this is what psychic hearing sounds like". The sound in my ears seemed to be coming directly from my ear although I have read that you actually pick up psychic sounds in the area directly above your ears. I attempted to get up and go to the bathroom to make it go away but it continued. I don't think I actually went to the bathroom, only dreamed I did. After I got back from the bathroom I laid back down and a stone angel appearred in my right hand vision. I called out "I'm not ready to see yet!" and the angel disappeared. I also remember hearing small voices on the top of my head, right near my third eye. I don't remember what they said though.

Eventually the hearing and voices disappeared too. At that point I was physically awake, and I remember touching my leg. However I was definitely in an altered brain state (alpha perhaps? it definitely wasn't beta).

Was this just a lucid dream or was I actually psychically hearing things? Any thoughts?

You were probably tuned in at a frequency where you could hear the chatter of spirits. Had you "been ready" you might have had a really interesting and possibly terrifying experience. What you describe used to happen to me a lot. It's like being stuck on a radio dial in between stations and hearing multiple stations at the same time.

I had a similar experience last night that i will share. I have been trying to learn about lucid dreaming and astral projection and i have been having some luck but last night was one of my most intense experiences so far. I have wrote down some of my other experiences in this thread.

Astral Projection

So last night i went to lie down on my bed i was feeling pretty tired but wasn't sure if i was gonna go to sleep yet. I was just resting i guess 40 mins went by i was dozing off but kinda bouncing back cause i was still clothed and just laying on top of my covers. I dozed off and woke to some extreme vibrations i was instantly aware of what was going on because i have experienced them before and have been doing some reading on astral projection. Next i starting hearing these two people talk one person was talking about personal development related talk and the other person awsered a couple times it was loud and clear. The other couple times i was in this state is was more loud noises or screaming off in the distant where i couldn't make out what was being said. I was lying on my side and next i tried to separate from my body i started to do a push up (This was in my head as i was still laying still on my bed) it was weird as i pushed the vibrations even got more intense it was a very heavy push up but it actually felt like i was doing a push up. I felt like i was half way up like my arms where straight out and i was pushing against my bed but my bottom half was stuck. Then i thought my bro came in my room and clear as day said "Hey man you sleeping?""I guess hes sleeping..." It kinda just trailed off like he was walking out of the room. Next i heard him in the kitchen messing around in the sink. Thats when i saw this little bubble in my vision it first started off as very small (Keep in mind during all this im stuck in a half push up with the most intense vibrations i have ever felt) I focused on the little bubble and it grew very fast and all of a sudden i was floating through my apartment my brother was standing at the sink i floated right by him and around the hall then i started to sink twords the ground. I got kinda anxious at this point and decided to wake my self up i didn't really get the sleep paralysis like i have had before so within a second i was back in my bed laying there.

At first i thought this was a astral projection i jumped out of bed went into the living room/office and said "hey man i just astral projected!" He was excited for me i asked him if he was just standing at the kitchen sink? "no sorry man" i was like hmmm... I asked him "just a min ago did you come in my room and ask me if i was sleeping?" "No man" he started to look kinda freaked out. He explained that he had just been sitting at his comp the entire time chatting with a friend but just before i got up he said he was thinking about asking me if i was going to bed and if i wanted some coffee he was going to make. After further review it seems i was tapping into his thoughts or something the voices before my astral push up were him talking on msn with his buddy in china cause personal development was the topic of conversation.

What i think happened was i was half way from separating from my body when i jumped into a lucid dream of what i thought was going on in my apartment I think the reason i was floating around was i thought i was astral projecting (Not the first time i dreamed i astral projected i once had a false awakening in the middle of the night then dreamed i astral projected)

I know alot of this is nothing like your experience but the voices part seemed similar i hope to have more luck down this path it all seems very intriguing. I have a 200 page ebook to read on astral projection so i am sure that will help in my journey.
