I Dream of Genie (inflicted with an illness)

Hi, I am new to this site/forum and I am thrilled it exists!!.. But I have been trying to learn how to control my "psychic" abilities, and I am at a loss at the moment..lol so i thought this might help a little.... It's been somewhat of a new ride lately and more and more things are starting to happen that haven't before....

I'll try to make this as short and to the point as possible... A few things about me: I always get goosebumps as confirmation for most of my important issues-- I get them when someone else has an epiphany, I get them when I encounter "coincidence", I get them when I know I am being guided and protected..lol I am getting them right now as I type this... I've also had somewhat prophetic dreams my whole life, most having to do with illness-- such as cancer-- disease, such as HIV/AIDS-- even conditions like anemia. And EVERY time I have one of these dreams, I learn of someone in my waking life who is inflicted with the corresponding illness/disease/condition in the dream I just had. News of the "ill" person comes to me within a few weeks. But the problem is, I never know who it is going to be or when it is going to happen. And it has turned me into a bit of a hypochondriac.... I am just curious if anyone who shares this same gift knows how to develop it enough to help those the dream is discribing if that's what my spirit is want me to do?

I said there are things that have been happening that haven't before-- but I will just sit on this question for a while before I get into anymore... Lord knows I talk too much as it is!!

Controlling psychic abilities... I'll put this in a blog entry for everyone's benefit. But the gist is that psychic abilities are like muscles. Everyone is born with muscles, and you use your muscles whether you're intending to or not. Some people work with their muscles often and so they get stronger, and some let them atrophy. Body builders are people who have decided to fully develop their muscles. These are the psychics. People who have premonitions and intuitive feelings, etc, are those who are exercising but haven't decided to become a "professional" body builder.

Controlling your abilities then is just a matter of how much time and attention you put into developing them. They become easier to "control" the more you work them out.

I can relate to a degree,

what has happened with me though is that the event in the dream and the event when it happens , is actually running into each other

it use to be i would have the dream 8 to 10 hours prior to the event happening now it is almost on top of the event

have not figured this out yet

wow... that's really interesting... So if you made your dreams lucid and could alter an event somehow I wonder what that would do in the waking world.... ?

Well with the last one, If I were able to that, I would have saved a house fire... a huge devestation

but it was happening when I was seeing it in my dream....

wow... that's crazy....

I guess maybe you weren't supposed to save the house fire then...? Maybe you were just seeing it on a higher level and taking on a part of the "one consciousness" by watching it happen, detached, but still obviously sympathetic.. or empathetic, even....Just experiencing, because that's what you (and we all) came here to do....

If the universe (or You, for that matter) intended on it being stopped, I am sure it would have been stopped....

...Although the idea of changing the world through a dream still intrigues me..
