When I dream at night, I sense I'm the dreamer. Sometimes I'm in the dream as a character, sometimes I'm not, my dreams can have familar and unknown people, places and events in them. Now there are two things I notice. 1. When I'm dreaming, I can never think or remember my physical reality. When I'm awake in this physical reality, I can remember my dream in good detail, but not the other way around. 2. I don't seem to be purposfully controlling the dream and what happens in it. I know I'm the dreamer and therefore creating it, but when I wake it always feels like it was just a bunch of crazy/fun/scary stuff. I suppose that's a contradiction as I'm obviously making it up, but it doesn't seem very well planned out, not like if I was going to achieve something in physical reality. I've never gone to sleep thinking 'I want to dream of this or that' so I wonder if that's the issue. Any opinions??? Thanks Max |

My dreams have (until last night) pretty much been like that, just crazy mixed up stuff, on the rare occassions when I even remember them. Last night I had a truely new, for me, dream experience. In the dream I somehow realized I was dreaming and that I had dreamed on the same subject before. Instantly I knew all the content of all the previous dreams. I don't think I ever really had those dreams before, but it is the same as if I had. The end of the dream made me a little sad and I cried but then I woke and I felt peaceful, good, even happy. Bring on the dreams! |
