how can one develope to actually see their guides?

i think i can see my guides but only through my inds eye and imagination
i kinda feel comfused somehow i think what if its imagination or what if i dont hear them the way i should
how can i develope my skills to actually see the,, ??

I think what yasi_joy's question was: How do I physically see my guides? Whilst Erin now has finished her lovely blog entry about "How to meet your Higher Self" the question remains if one can actually physically see their guides. I have heard many stories myself which also makes me question: Can you actually SEE them as if you would see a physical being? To me this sounds like a wonderful feat to do. Erin, please chip in on this subject, and elucidate for us whether this is just nonsense or if it's possible.

Depends on what you mean by see.

I see my guides during meditation and when I'm doing readings.

But I've never seen a guide with my physical eyes. is that what we're talking about?

From what I collected from the OP yasi seemed to be talking about physically seeing them. Not any mental visualization, but seeing them as you see the monitor in front of you right now.

Likewise, from everything I have read about "How to communicate with your sub-conscious", from peebrain's entry on PsiPog PsiPog.net : Psychic Students In Pursuit Of Guidance to Robert Peterson's chapter on the subject chap10.html, it confuses me whether people actually think the conversation with their subconscious (as in eg. having a conversation within your mind with yourself) or if they hear the conversation with their subconscious (as in eg. having a discussion with a physical being).

I think I saw my guide in my dream one day. The dream went like this: it all took place in the exact same apartment I am staying in with my mother and my sister. The scene started off with my sister becoming possessed by a spirit,my ex-boyfriend also became possessed, but I prayed for him and rid him of the possession. I could not do anything for my sister so I said to myself I have to call my aunt to help me , but instead ,I went to my mother's room and got a bottle of holy water. Out of nowhere a tall darkskined lady dressed in red appeared. My ex-boyfriend was so scared all he kept telling me was let's get out of here but I did not move I stood there and told her if she came in peace she can stay but if she is evil she must leave. She did not reply all I remember her telling me was he was the reason for my breakdown.I asked her, who? she did not reply. However, my ex yelled and said she was raped let's go. After that, I told her she must leave and she said no, because my work here is not done. My sister appeared with a bucket of water and threw it at me a couple of minutes later I woke up.
