I am really pushing to keep this place open. It is quite sad that Steve has decided to pull the plug. To everybody here, I truly enjoyed communicating with you over the past year, I have made many friends and learned a whole lifetime worth of things just interacting with some of the most enlightened people I know. This comes as quite the blow, I am currently sitting in a Hotel Lounge in NYC and I don't know which way to turn.

If you don't already know, I also Moderate for a forum called Halfpast:

Royster is the Admin there and I am sure we would love many of you to join. It is for the most part a closed off community with some very spiritual people posting threads of good spiritual value. If you decide to join, you can choose whatever name you like, but please tell us your pavlina name so we can identify you.

Though I have only been a Moderator here for a number of months, the Psychic & Paranormal sub-forum was one of the areas where I needed to pay the least amount of attention. Much of the time I could trust what many of you were saying was helpful spiritual advice without the need to even open the thread. I couldn't say the same for any of the other sub-forums I ventured in however.

I would also just like to take the time to thank everybody for helping me grow and be part of your learning process as well. It has truly been an honor. It was one of the few places on Earth I actually enjoyed being within, Halfpast is the other. I am a very well-traveled individual and I don't say this lightly.

Good luck with the Ascension in 2012 with the magnificent Year of the Dragon. I wish you well on your future endeavors and God Bless.

Thank you Roy! I am here for another 7 days, so the forum sounds to be closed just before I return to Australia. Luckily my real home at Halfpast will always be there to welcome me with open arms :)

Can someone please explain to me exactly what happened to cause this forum shutdown? I just got started reading here a few weeks ago and I am disappointed and confused. Someone please respond or PM me.

Essentially, Steve is tired of managing a 47,000 tenant apartment building when he'd rather be playing the slots in Las Vegas. After that, he'll probebly play the slot machines. :p

Maintaining that apartment building takes huge constant focus and attachment. So he's throwing the toilet plunger at that whiney old hag in #379 and kicking the dog that pees on the lobby floor. In a great Jack Nicolson moment, he dumps the dog into the trash chute on his way out the door. You want the maintenance done? DO IT YERSELF!" AND SLAM GOES THE DOOR.

Cris I really enjoyed Moderating with you too. As I mentioned in the Mod forums, you are one of the people I most respected here. Your patience and positive light has always been appreciated.

I respect Steve's decision to shut down the forum, for it is his Creation, and as the Creator, he may do whatever he feels like. If his Creation was drawing away too much energy than what he could afford, then it is within his right to consolidate his life rather than keep the energy drains open. A lot transpires over this forum that normal members are not privy to, and the amount of stuff that sometimes weighs down upon the Admin/Moderators can be overwhelming, especially if your personal name is involved.

This forum is shutting down because Steve wants to feel personal freedom again rather than being held responsible for something which has taken a life of its own, and was heading down a path Steve was not comfortable dedicating energy towards.

I am still trying to figure out if this was sarcasm or a bit of humorous seriousness?? haha

We also have to attribute the fact that I did also meet you across this forum too. Certainly a meeting spot for some of the most spiritually respectable people I have ever come across (Even if it was to be only briefly).

i began my journey into spiritualism this year and have progressed spiritually quite quickly.

Finding this forum has opened me up , ive had my ups and downs and eventually found peace from within.
i called this my spiritual awakening everything happened so quick.

i know why i am here in this life and the path led me to meet certain people on here

im happy im at this point as i now know i have to progress on my own.
next year is going to be awesome for me.

Seriously, why can't he just outsource aspects of Forum management that he doesn't like to people like Midnight?

In fact I asked him to do exactly this. I was asking him to make me an Admin or transfer ownership.

Right now this forum is like a sinking ship. The ship has already struck the ice-burg and water has filled out the bottom two levels. It's only a matter of time before the whole thing goes under. Steve doesn't want to send someone to repair the hull, but would rather go down with the Ship as its Captain. Some lifeboats have been strung out, other communities are accepting what they can, however the essence of the majority won't be following.

I too agree with Midwinter Mist, you have shared your great spiritual wisdom with many people in this forum. This is 'my coming out of the closet 'place where I could talk to like minded people. And I am going to move to Halfpast so I can continue to enjoy all your company :)
