However it is exactly as I just described it; a lure. The essence of being in control of your Life is fantastic, it offers an incredible amount of self realization and conscious awakening, in fact it even kind of gives us this 'I'm a Creator' feeling. Completely inadequate for the qualities of Ascension nonetheless..

Unconditional Love is almost a prerequisite to Ascension. To Love the world around you unconditionally to such a level that your vibrational frequency increases dramatically. Not Conditional Love - only Love that which you deem fit for loving, or that which matches something to be worthy of being loved. LoA is essentially about attracting things which you believe are positively accentuating. I seriously doubt many people here are intentionally attracting negative things into their Life. Creating 'the perfect world' for yourself is fine, but as I just mentioned it promotes Conditional Love based on what you believe should be, rather than what is. It takes a lot of lifetimes to realize this.

If you currently believe God/Source/Creator is only comprised of Light or Positivity, then you are sadly mistaken. We live in a Duality; that which is bound to two polar opposite forces. To exclude one half as non-God would be a fruitless act in itself. To Unconditionally Love both halves would require the spiritual maturity of the Ascended Masters themselves, and that is exactly why they get to the point they are currently at.

There are a lot of people out there trying to recreate the world around them, attract money, health, wealth, job promotions, relationships, etc, etc, etc. Much of the time this is satisfying egotistical or emotional based feelings, even more frequently not progressing past this point because the rest of spirituality isn't catering to exactly this. It is the reason for why I call it a lure rather than any kind of end-product.

By all means experiment and decide what you find to be the best match for what you currently want to pursue
This actually makes a lot of sense to me.

I have stripped myself of much of my ego, there is still some left but most of it is gone I think

A lot of people these days, particularly individuals from the self-selecting groups that post on sites like Pavlina Forums, are experiencing physical symptoms along the spine. Often sensations from the area in the back between the shoulder blades on up to the the back of the neck and perhaps up to crown of the skull.

These are pretty interesting "physical symptoms". I'm not so sure that they represent "hopes, fears, judgements, core beliefs, where we negate ourselves, where we're in denial, where we react/respond, etc"...

I tend to think it's more like the adjustment or accommodation of a garden hose when the flow pressure is increased significantly.

Tanemon - Thanks for bringing this up. I wasn't trying to invalidate anyone's experience of expansion and increasing consciousness. What I was attempting to say to Space was that anything physical tends to have a deeper origin on an energetic level, then suggest some things to look at to help us all with our internal flow. For her and perhaps others, the discomfort from physical sensations are a sign that something deeper needs to be attended to. Having just talked with her on the phone yesterday after this was posted, she saw how she can bring more awareness into a situation to shift it, which changes her body experience and energy flow.

What you're talking about sounds more like an affect than a symptom, but that's just semantics. The physical sensations that you're referring to sound more like the affects of chi/kundalini rising, especially if you're feeling it in the spine, back of the neck, skull or brain stem. Sounds wonderful! And I stand by my original statement - our physical form is still reflecting our internal and energetic state. If we are internally-aligned (i.e. matching our thoughts, feelings, words and actions), then we are going to feel a smoother energetic flow and even increased energy as there is less resistance. And when we have resistance/conflict, this creates a different physical sensation.

For example, I had a friend who wanted shakti-pa, to have a mystic raise his kundalini so that he could become enlightened. The mystic warned him that he wasn't ready for it and that it should come naturally. He persisted. The mystic helped get his kundalini moving up the spine, but my friend still had conflict in the form of not asking for what he wanted. The blockage was centered around the throat chakra. So the energy moved up his spine, stopped at his throat, then had to find a way to release, so it went out his arms. The energy literally blew his arms out of the sockets - dislocated his shoulders. The expansive body sensations are the affect of chi moving, the energetic blockage in the throat is a symptom of internal conflict, the dislocation is the affect of the chi trying to move, and the pain of the dislocation is the physical symptom of the conflict. I also know of people who have experienced their chi moving up and awakened naturally because of their internal alignment - no blocks that show up on an energetic level to stop the flow of chi.

And to use your analogy, since our consciousness is getting even more excited right now, the pressure to the garden hose keeps increasing. Regardless of what's happening on the outside or the amount of energy we have, our flow still depends on whether the hose is blocked (conflict) or clear (internal alignment), which will give us different body sensations and consciousness experiences.

So to give a more accurate statement about physical symptoms and affects - The more we know ourselves and are internally-aligned, the more the unpleasant body sensations, which are trying to attract our attention to get completion, subside. As we increase in consciousness and love, we can still have a variety of body sensations, some of which will seem pleasant, and others which might seem scary because they are unknown or unfamiliar. The more we know ourselves, the easier all of this becomes, especially the unknown and unfamiliar.

Thanks again Chris.

I took a look at a list of ascended masters and i did not quite feel any strong pull towards any of them so maybe the one for me was not on the list. i did notice that the majority of pictures of the masters had a "glowing" quality about them, especially in the eyes. so my next question is... are illuminant eyes a sign of enlightenment and/or ascension? like does ones eyes become more illuminant as they become more spiritual?

Also, this question is about myself... is having a lack of desire for possessions and experiences, a sign that i am getting closer to enlightenment and/or ascension? i used to have tons of desires for material possessions, knowledge, skills, psychic powers and wanting to meet peculiar beings etc... but now i seem to be losing all interest in it all. the only desire that remains in full so far, is the desire for health.

Weaver - That's an interesting question about the eyes - one that I don't remember being asked before. In a way it's like when the Grinch got his heart 3 times bigger. lol The eyes will have a certain clarity and openess.

As we become enlightened or beyond, our kundalini/chi has moved from the base of the spine throughout the whole chakra system, culminating in a wonderful opening at the top of our head. Our aura will become brighter with energy, it will extend farther than when we had conflict (3-5 meters), and there will be a certain clarity in the eyes that was not there before. There is likely to be a double blue aura around the individual, which sometimes can be seen (if you see energy), and even this energy can get reflected in the eyes.

The lack of desire for possessions and experiences isn't a direct correspondence to spiritual progression, though depending on the person it can be a sign of shifting and transformation. If we've already had our material desires completed (i.e. Buddha, St Francis), then it can be simply a progression. If we haven't completed with possessions and experiences, then they will come back into our lives (i.e. spiritual/religious teachers who say they are celibate, only to get caught having sex with a disciple).

An encompassing commitment to being in the present moment no matter what, releasing any need to be right about anything (releasing our past), releasing any beliefs in favor of direct experience, embracing everything and everyone as sacred, being internally validating - these are signs of progression.

I'd like to corroborate this with my own experience. I found myself shifting in this direction a few years ago, and slowly started shedding my material belongings. I was looking for a sense of clarity and focus, and I found that my possessions were obscuring that.

In the beginning, it seemed I would just shift the unfocus and unclarity over into my digital life. Also the focus and clarity would only last as long as I was paying conscious attention to it. As soon as I let it out of the foreground of my consciousness, I'd watch my life slowly drift back to messiness. Just with fewer possessions.

Eventually I realized that the real learning was elsewhere, and the orderliness was but a side effect.

I also read somewhere that all Ascended Masters have reached a type of Nirvana, this means they dont feel any pain anymore, and are permanently released from a state of suffering.

See here: Nirvana - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Can anyone verify this??

Yes, Frisky, Ascended Masters have completely transcended all of the aspects of existence that incarnated life teaches us. Nirvana is but a word for that among many others that mean the same thing.

Frisky - You don't have to reach the ascension stage to end suffering, it happens before then by the time you're becoming enlightened. And actually, as far as physical pain goes, we can learn techniques to stop feeling pain, even if we're not enlightened.

SunnyDays - You're entirely welcome! I'm glad it was an encouraging experience!

So you could punch an ascended master in the face, and he/she wouldnt feel a thing then?? I also read that Buddhist priests who are into self-immolation dont feel any pain whatsoever as they are burning to death.

See here: buddhist monk - self immolation - YouTube

And here: Rare Footage of Tibetan Nun's Self-Immolation Smuggled out of Tibet - YouTube

Frisky - You could punch an enlightened mystic (or beyond) and they wouldn't feel anything that they didn't want to feel.

You might try studying with an Aikido, Judo, Tai Chi, Chi Qong, or other martial arts master to understand the practical applications of physics and energy. Then you can also look into a variety of Yoga books, including Iyengar's "Light on Pranayama", to understand more about consciously using and transforming energy.

There are masters, resources and techniques out there - your search will take you to the right ones when you're ready.

Everyone - I want to thank you all for sharing your sincere questions, wisdom, and direct experience on this forum. It was your willingness to dive into yourselves that made the difference here.

Final Thoughts - We are collectively experiencing a shift together, but no matter what is happening in the world around us, your personal transformation, including ascension, is always up to you. There is no one that is more powerful, more knowing than ourselves. I would remind everyone of what Buddha said "Remember that you are a Buddha. Be a light unto yourselves". And also remember "Only floss the teeth you want to keep".

Thank you for sharing this incredible adventure! May life itself become a celebration where you consciously and effortlessly dance with everyone on your path, living in the moment with gratitude, passion, integrity, and always a sense of humor.
