Has anyone here met or know any charlatans, i.e. people claiming to have psychic and paranormal abilities but are just another deceiver. I will give an example with this video: Interactive card trick - YouTube The man claims that he can guess which card you've chosen and then brings you to another video where he(depending on what you've chosen) tells which card is yours. See if you can find out where's he's lying and convincing others that he knows what card you've chosen. Other stories of so called psychics would be interesting to hear. Have a good time with this thread |

It's like in any profession. You have good and bad doctors, good and bad lawyers, and so on. Likewise, there are good psychics and bad psychics. Most psychics I have seen were very good. A couple of them even extremely good. I only ran across one bad psychic (had freaking no idea what she was talking about, lots of guessing work or repeating what I had said on the phone before seeing her, pegging my deceased relative as an awful personality when she was a sweet wonderful woman, telling me she was giving me German surnames, which I guess she based on the fact she knew I grew up in Belgium, but , hey, too bad, I grew up in the French speaking part of the country). Incidentally I haven't seen a psychic since her. I did not like being taken for a fool, but then you know...it's like trying on a new hairdresser and hating the hair cut they gave you. Too bad. Life goes on Hope this will help you. |

Sounds more like figuring out magic tricks to me. Honestly I have no idea how this guy does it. He's 3 for 3 for me. I even tried changing the card but choosing the same hidden card and it was still right! Edit: 4 for 4 now! Aaaaargh Last edited by MariconesUnited; 12-09-2011 at 10:25 AM. |

Erin, you should be right, but the man in the video used the word "psychic" so I assumed it was a good example. Although it's just a card trick, he does it by not saying it's a trick but tricking you into believing he's a psychic or some sort of a magician. Keep a high awareness in in the video and you'll reveal his 'magic' easily. If not let me know and I'll tell you how the trick is done(simple logic). Weena, good example, exactly what I meant, but I think a hairdresser can do you a lot more bads than a psychic could these days |

I'm still lost! I don't want the answer just yet though...Here's my thought process so far: 1. Same video every single time. Looks like it anyway. Havent seen a clue that it's not. 2. Choosing different cards in the same spot to ''fool him'' will not work. 3. Same video, different cards being chosen by ME, different spots chosen by ME...Works every single time. 4. |

The original cards are Queen of Diamonds King of Spades Jack of Hearts Jack of Clubs King of Diamonds Queen of Clubs So you pick a card. I picked Jack of Hearts. You're being directed to another video with a reason. The reason is the cards are not the ones you were shown in the original video. In the second video, the cards are, minus one Jack of Diamonds King of Hearts King of Clubs Queen of Spades Jack of Spades None of them were in the original set. So of course, your card isn't "there". | |

What3ver find out what was going on first Here's a short joke that I feel is relevant to the topic: A guy walks to a psychic's house and knocks on the door. From the inside of the house a woman's voice says: -Who is it? -Huh, that's one hell of a psychic! - the man says and walks away.. So guys...keep the topic alive if anyone know any other stories let's hear them |

I have actually seen quite a bit of psychics and believe it or not, majority of them are good. Some are really on point. And some hit the mark but miss it a bit with some other things. There was only one that was REALLY bad. It was through a website and she seemed to be accurate due to the details she gives. But with my question, it was so wrong *lol*
