Has anyone seen the "Cone of White Light"

When I was a kid I remember seeing a cone of white light in my room at night that scared me very much. Come to find out I'm not the only one who has claimed to have seen it. A friend of mine who I met a couple years ago who has been very influential in my life has also said he saw the same thing as a kid. White light, cone shaped, six feet tall or so, kind of in motion. I also have heard callers on radio shows like Coast to Coast AM describe similar experiences. It's rare but I have heard of stores about it.

I never saw that one.

Aside from ghosts, I saw a blob hovering over my bed one night and it stayed there a good while. Only thing that ever freaked me out.

Used to see black shadowy things. Black blanket fall over me.

I now see speaks of silver confetti things which I believe are angels.

I dont mean those formations that form in your vision when you look at a bright light.

I've seen one as a kid, too. And no, it wasn't from a light/lamp, I'm perfectly sure about it.

Bonadea: By the way earlier I just wanted to clarify, I wasn't dismissing your experience as something easily explainable. I was just googling this and I came up with a popular mechanics article that said that this phenomena is due to retinal light surges. Which I totally agree, light surges can appear as blobs in the vision but for those who have experienced something extra ordinary, I do not assume to have down to earth explanations for. There seem to be different genus, classifications, species of night time apparitions. Im only talking about one type. (embarrassed)

Well, it could have some logical explanation, but it doesn't seem to be an obvious one. This light was far stronger than the usual light cone you get when you look at a light source, and of diffrent form. What happenend to me was when I were a little kid. I was really happy with my life, but I was reading about all the disasters happening around the world and all the sad people, so I prayed to be able to share that happiness with other people. It could be a total coincidence, but around that day (the next night I think?) I was playing in my room and I had that sudden urge to go lie at my bed in "dead" position, looking at the ceiling. As if a voice told me to. And then it was like the time stopped, I suddenly couldn't hear my heart beating and didn't need to breath, everything was like a paused movie. Then I saw a little pin of white light on the ceiling (the lightbulb was on, but almost half meter further from that point). Then the light grew bigger and bigger, and it was surreal cause it looked flat yet coming towards me. In the end I lost view of the most of my visual field. But then I thought I should do something, like moving my hand towards the light, and as soon I put enough will to move an inch of my little finger the light was absorbed back and vanished. It took me few minutes to regain full control of my body (maybe because I was like, wth happened right now? )

I checked the ceiling but it looked normal (it had a point that looked a little darker but it was not the only one at the whole ceiling so I don't think it counts). Later I considered sleep paralysis, only I was perfectly awake from start to end!

People usually do feel very nice and relaxed around me, but this happened before too...I don't know if this was just a self-induced illusion, and can't know if it has affected my life cause I cannot know the diffrence. It's not like I have achieved anything big in my life yet, either. It was a beautiful moment, though.

This actually sounds like an angel sighting. Archangel Michael often stands guard over us as adults and even more so for us as children to protect and love us and make us feel secure in our world. It is very possible he was standing watch over you and guarding you from something or someone.
