The story revolves on Astral Projection. My friend was so afraid he was afraid to sleep because of fear of astral projection. So, anyone of you guys had experienced Astral Projection? |

I avoided it because the movie poster made it look like a ripoff of The Omen. I only watched it recently, and I like the astral projection twist! Not only that, but have you noticed that in these paranormal family movies, like Silent Hill or The Ring, it's the mothers who are usually attuned to what could be wrong, and have to rescue the children? There's nothing wrong with that, but when it becomes the story most often told to the exclusion of any variation, it kind of feeds the stereotype that men can't be psychic, or care that much for their kids, for emotions, or intuition, or relationships. I believe that supporting stereotypes of any kind makes it harmful, and frankly boring because it's been told so many times before already. So I like that in this movie it was the rational, materialistic man who turned out to be the natural psychic all along, and would go on the astral journey for his son, and face his long-forgotten fears. And I like that it was about as successful as one would realistically expect when you task someone who has nothing going for them but talent. As for the astral projection scenes, they weren't completely spot-on by my experiences out-of-body, but they were real enough to give me chills. The way it starts out in what looks like the real world, but things so naturally fall away. Or, that scene where he follows the crying woman in the white mantilla, and loses track of her, and... that's just the way it is. It's a movie, so I expected the main character to do nothing that wouldn't lead to the next plot point, but there's a lot of psychic flotsam and jetsam. I appreciate that the writers researched enough to be able to convey that, and spent the time to film, and took care in the editing room to keep it so that would set the mood: The astral plane does not sense make as we mundane walkers grok it. And I watched it while overnighting at my aunt's and cousin's house, too, so I was a little nervous about sleeping without the special protections that were rooted around my own bed. I used the opportunity to brainstorm some astral weapons, and that comforted me enough that I could finally sleep, although come to think of it I should really have been thinking about how to make portable protective spells instead. |

Remember the part where the father has to go into the Demon's workshop and find his son? That entire scene in the mansion was like it was scripted out of my very own travels. Been there and done that, except the Demon I met was 'working' on a young woman at the time, and started laughing when he saw me walking around. Like the movie, he also managed to follow me back into the physical life... We live in a wonderful world!

Yes! I also liked how, just because it was a horror, they didn't keep everything dark. The astral's quite colorful, even where it might be dangerous. I've also been in that red-haze kind of astral environment, so that was eerie to see. What happened with your demon, Midnite? |

| Well after making his acquaintance I have called upon him when psy-vamps (or anything else for that matter) have decided to get too frisky with my personal space. It's kind of like 'Well since you're there, you might as well make yourself useful'. |

Yeah they clearly got the idea of the old hag and shadow man from sleep paralysis. Lots of people hallucinate an old hag or shadow man sitting on their chest and strangling them in sleep paralysis. I've never experienced it myself. I sleep on my side so nothing ever sits on me. What does it expect in return though? In everyday life, if someone is following you around and does favours for you like that, you have to wonder what they want from you. Last edited by BogWarrior; 12-02-2011 at 07:01 PM. |

Do you get curious and try and find out what they are all about? For example if you go up and start shaking one of these mannequins, will they react? Last edited by BogWarrior; 12-02-2011 at 07:03 PM.

@Midnite! About that demon of yours...did he look like the one from the movie? A few weeks before I watched that movie (knowing nothing about the movie at the time) I had an experience myself while on my couch. Floated up, felt something watching me, and looked over into the corner of my living room to see this very tall, black, slender being standing by my computer desk. He had giant red eyes. He just watched me float away. Anyway, it bothered me a bit when I came out of it. Then I saw that movie and I was like |

I saw the same thing and the shadow man you're referring to. One time it flew near me sat on my chest and slash my neck. Erin wrote something about that shadow man. Midnite, could you please look at my place if that shadow man and the red face demon is still with me? I saw him yesterday around while I'm sleeping and I always feel I wanted to stay in my bed and keep on sleeping even I'm sleeping for more than 10 hours. I don't remember my dreams anymore this past few weeks but I saw his face the moment I woke up then vanished. It is red like in the movie. I don't want to go back to sleep and I don't astral project anymore but I can't help but to sleep the moment I started sleeping it's hard for me to wake up coz I just feel it's so much pleasurable in astral world.

I don't know...perhaps fear might be making this thing of yours a little bit more frisky. Someone once also talked to me about a gatekeeper...or something along those lines...having something that will be there watching you with the intent to frighten you. It's like a test of some sort and more of a reflection of yourself trying to frighten you out of moving on further. I'm not sure if that's what my guy was, but I can say I haven't seen him again after that episode. Anyway...waiting for Midnite to gallop in on his icy stallion and save you from me as I have NO real idea of what I'm talking about! Only a little personal experience. LOL.

When you give something like a demon free rein to do whatever it pleases with somebody like a psy-vamp, it causes bad karma on my behalf even though I am responding to a negative karma inducing incident in the first place. Whatever that demon decides to do to that particular person, will result in negative karma credits on my behalf. They will just start accumulating up. However back when I was doing this, I was also healing people on a daily basis incurring positive karma credits every single day. I would encounter a psy-vamp 1-2 times a month, and however heal 15-20 people in that same month as well. So my actions were nullified to a point where I could call upon a demon to go seriously rip apart someone's entire energy system and not have to worry about repercussions later on. *Please note that I have since stopped doing this because I have learnt much more balanced methods to deal with life. I was performing all of this during a time I call my Relapse months.. Quote:

Feeling frightful, angry, depressed, scared, lonely, enraged, etc are all lower vibratory emotions that feed lower vibratory beings. Therefore in order to overcome such situations, none of those should be felt. The best thing to concentrate on is actually Love. There are a million and one ways to remove demons. It would take me hours to type it all up here, especially as it depends on your current knowledge and understanding about the ethereal world. Most people never come across a single demon in their life. Try to keep it that way. There are so many methods... calling Archangels, Guardian Angels, using advanced energy manipulation, psychic self defense techniques, etc.
