Can a person have been an animal in a past life?

I was mirror scrying and watching my face morph which started of slow and then got faster and i saw four different human faces then it morphed into the face of a wolf, but i am not sure whether i was seeing me in a past life or if i was seeing my animal spirit guide which i know is a wolf.

To the question in the headline: Yes, plants, minerals, animals, planets, galaxies and whatever you want, it's all conscious in one way or the other and you typically have a myriad of experiences. You could even remember them.

To what you say there are many possibilities to it, probably the symbolism of the wolf is more relevant for understanding your life at this moment.

There is an intimate activity called 'soul gazing' where you sit across from another person and stare into each other’s faces. When you do this you see their face change, often quite radically. What you are seeing is their internal aspects/energies/personalities. It’s possible you are seeing the same thing.

If it is my characteristic how come my eye colour can change to a different colour, or how can i see a face that is so full of saggy wrinkly skin.

Yep.

However, once you step out of that pattern of soul expression, you wouldn't normally ever go back to that 2nd density expression. And also, not everybody has been animals in their (distant) past lives. Some start out as human beings. There are an infinite variety of possibilities.

I did say ‘radically’.

First of all there have been documented cases of people’s skin changing and their eye color changing under hypnosis. So not so radical.

The direct answer, because you are diverse internally.

Most often there are child aspects, and aspects of the ‘other’ gender too. All aspects appear to some extent representational (symbolically), for instance the wise (wrinkly) old person or the tall strong healthy one. The wolf would be your totem animal because part of you resonates with the wolf. That aspect would appear as an animal wolf.

We take physical form for a wide variety of reasons and there is much to learn and experience from the animal kingdom as well as the plant kingdom not to mention a myriad of life forms not of the planet Earth. So what's the difference if in one of your lives you were a wolf here on earth or a space faring Being from a distant planet or even a life form in another dimension?

This is just my belief, but yes and no.....

I believe we come from the pot as one thing, human, animal, angel, etc. I believe we only reincarnate as that thing until we perfect and go back in the pot.

But after that we can come back as something else.

So like 100 lives as a human, back in the pot, 4 lives as a tree, back in, come back as something else.

I'm not saying this is my full hearted 100% belief, but that's my feeling.

The eastern philosophy advocates this theory of varying levels of births. But they are intended for evolution of the individual soul, or rather the birth of a wolf or a dog is as a beginner soul. Getting back to the pot and again taking an incarnation as a Cat could be true theoretically. However the moment I get back to the pot the "I" cease to exist. We could say a different "I" for the later lower births as a cat/crow. But that has no relevance for the earlier "I". This is in a sens the very basis of the 'Aham Brahmasmi ' theory or the theory of Adwaita of Shankara the saint.
