Default Wacky dream?

I had this crazy dream last night. It was really intense.

It started off with me and a couple of people...and there was a crowd of people nearby us.

All of a sudden there was this crocodile, though it was a man at first and I was speaking to him, and then he went on all fours and became an ancient crocodile? I got this instinct to back away, and just knew something big was going to happen.

Then this light sort of appeared near it,a nd I yelled for everyone to run...and just before we started to, the croc turned into an Indian man dressed in a suit. He was pure Evil...like the Apocalypse in human form!

Very scary, and as we ran, I looked back and saw that he blew the crowd up just with his eyes. It was like an atomic explosion...and we kept running. My old boyfriend was there for some reason, and it was like we were still together...though I haven't seen him in over 9 years now.

We hid in this house that was there, and re-grouped. Took whatever supplies we could find and tried to come up with a plan. Then we left the house and kept moving.

I turned around at one point and just saw him running towards us at super speed. There were explosions in the background, but he was running like superman...and he came straight for me. I got the impression that I was somehow important and a threat to him? As he came for me, I stuck my leg out and tripped him over just as the whole area exploded...and dove to the ground.

Then he was gone, once the smoke had cleared, and the group were still all there.

There was some sort of kit he had left for us, and we had to assemble it, like it was a test or something? It turned out to be quite elaborate and was like a table that went on top of a bed made of wood. There were some other parts to it, that I can't recall now...but just as we were finishing it off, I got this deeply disturbing feeling that it was all just a decoy, to distract us from something else he was about to do...

That's when I woke up?

I usually like to analyze my dreams myself, but I thought I'd share this one, and see if anyone wants to have a go. I'm more curious as to what other people's impressions are...

so, go for it...

I'm wondering. . .what might the crocodile represent about you?

Hmmm...interesting question.

To me, the crocodile symbolizes predatorial instinct. They are one of the oldest creatures and are the closest things to the dinosaur period that we still have remaining with us.

I respect them...who wouldn't.

They are single minded, eating machines. They hide in the water and their powerful jaws cling to their prey as they roll around on the bottom of the river, their home.

Perhaps it represents my inner predator? Killer instincts?

Right now?

I just changed jobs and I now work in a massage therapy business...although the clients seem to think it is a brothel despite being told continually that it's not, and go there mainly for hand jobs and whatever else they think they can get for the right price...

Also, I am considering investing some money I have saved in gold and silver currently, but don't really know how to go about it...that might have something to do with killer instincts?

Is it possible the crocodile might represent your feelings about people that want hand jobs while you're trying to provide a service of relaxation and relieving stress?

Very possible. I hadn't thought of it from that angle.

My boss is outside the rooms so if there is any trouble I can just call out, and I have handled it quite well so far I think, but I do have some worries that I may arouse someone who does not take no for an answer, and tries to corner me, and get a bit nervous that I won't react correctly.

elucidate,
My first impression as I read your dream was it could possibly be related to what's coming in 2012. There's supposed to be some devastating events happening in some part's of the world (this is not the end of the world or any doomsday type thing).

I think on a subconscious level many people are starting to sense what's coming, and there might be bleed-throughs in the dream state, sort of as a warning. It's hard to believe that 2012 is just one month away, I know someone else that also happend to ask "how are you praparing for 2012"... just the other day, your dream reminded me of this question.

Try to go back and sum up the dream in one word or one sentence, sometimes you can get to the heart of what it was about that way.

I don't believe in any of that 2012 stuff. It's all just a frenzied story that loads and loads of people took seriously.

I'm totally prepared for environmental factors coming into play but I don't think that has anything to do with the Mayan calendar "predictions". Devastating events are happening all the time.

There are always natural disasters in India and parts of the world prone to earthquakes etc. Yes, there have been a lot more lately, and I think it can be explained scientifically, with the way the earth has become so out of balance, but I don't buy into any of the 2012 stuff.

Many people are 'sensing what is coming' because there has been so much talk and hype and scaring each other out of their minds that they are expecting something apocalyptic to happen, so it's no wonder really.

People just love to scare themselves, and each other, and there have been end of the world scenarios amongst cults and other groups for years and years...and we're all still here.

I think the last sentence you said is relevant though, so I will think about that, thanks.

To see a crocodile in your dream, symbolizes freedom, hidden strength and power. It also forewarns of hidden danger. Someone near you is giving you bad advice and is trying to sway you into poor decisions. Because crocodiles can live in water and on land, they also represent your conscious and unconscious and the emotional and rational. Perhaps something is coming to the surface and you are on the verge of some new awareness.

Alternatively, the crocodile may be an aspect of yourself and your aggressive and "snappy" attitude. Or it may reveal that are being insincere, displaying false emotions and shedding "crocodile tears".

To dream that you are chased or bitten by a crocodile, denotes disappointments in love and in business.

Did you get this from a book?

I can see how some of what you wrote is possible, but I think it's always better to interpret the symbols personally, since it is personal to me...though many symbols can be universal in the subconscious, it's true.

Interesting what you said about someone near to me giving me bad advice though.

The aggressive, 'snappy' attitude does occur occasionally for me, but not all the time.

I can't really think of where I'd be shedding 'crocodile tears', but I will think about that some more.

The part about them living on land and water does sound representative of the conscious and unconscious. Thank you, for your input.
