My wife informed me several people out on Facebook have reported recent dreams about tsunamis. I'm curious if this is a common dream people are having lately. The implications are interesting.

its bound to happen soon enough...........also for some reason, I got a very bad feeling as soon as I finished reading this........... I just checked on google for an eartquake site and it seems that there was alot of earthquake activity around the pacific plate since 1- 2 days ago.........thought could just be a regular thing............. When I was a teen, I had recurring dreams about tsunamis. I see them as my fearing my strong emotions (as they were as a teen developing.) In the dreams, I was always running from them and scared. I also had recurring dreams about escalators, and falling and not being able to hold myself up, and losing balance on them. This was when I was younger and changing in hormones. Funny thing is, now (ever since a bad real life experience on an escalator in Amsterdam,) I am really scared of going up on them. I have to keep my eyes fixed on the step in front of me. I was having tsunami dreams at the same time I was having escalator dreams... Wonder what that means? ETA, I guess it means the fear of losing control, I think they are common dream themes. |

I grew up 7 miles from the Los Angeles beaches, and had many dreams about tsunamis. I agree with the archtypical symbolism, but 'ocean' is also the subconscious, according to some views. Perhaps "overwhelming emotion" is what this indicates. As I said in the first post, the implications are very interesting. In my studies I have found that dreams of falling often indicate an out-of-body experience: our belief systems, unable to handle the fact we've left our bodies, translates the experience into something we can understand. None of these translations are set in stone and work for everyone: they have their individual meanings. But if people around the globe are having dreams of tsunamis, it indicates a communication whose message might be revealed in sharing the experiences. |

I had a few of those this year - absolutley insane. And like most dreams, they don't make sense. The tsunami was out to get me. I was on top of a hill, way down below it occured, and then all the ocean travelled up hill so that i didn't miss out. Another, it wasn't my body. I was an elder asian gentlemen - probably a fisherman of some sort. I had a very worker type body. Anyway, i went out onto the beach, the tide was low, so i went out and dug my feet in and pulled out muscles from the sand. Put them in a bucket. Anyway, the tide suddenly ripped way out to sea while i was digging around in the sand. I looked up, watched it go out, then watched a massive wave come back at me, first person. I felt the impact, felt myself grate against the sand and my spine snap, i remained conscious for a couple seconds after then i woke up. No pain, very quick real time. Natures power is amazing. So i sat down, and i pondered it, and i figured it out - I must like Angela. So mystery is over. Last edited by HiImJeremy; 11-25-2011 at 07:27 AM. |

Between the predicted solar flares for next year and also earthquakes at the north and south pole, we could have the icecaps melting, which would make the oceans of the world rise. I DO think water is on our minds these days.

Ive had tidal wave dreams for many years. Its always an end of the world scenario. One time I died, experienced the drowning, and experienced the time in the afterlife. It was the most special experience. It has always stayed with me and I am a skeptic of things of that nature, although not an unbeliever. Peace. |

I think to counteract this, as a way of being proactive, we should do an intention-manifestation to wish and pray that these tsunamis won't happen... if people think of stopping tsunamis maybe even if people dream about them, we can prevent it from happening... using the power of collective thinking |

I used to experience a lot of tsunami dreams, but one always stuck in my mind. I can't remember the exact year, but I had this dream prior to '2012' being widely known and a hot topic. At the time, I didn't even know about it. In the dream, I was in London, standing before this Olympic stadium. A large wave then lifted over it and crashed down. After that, the streets were quiet and filled with shallow floods. I researched my dream and that's when I personally found out about the 2012 predictions. Considering the path of reality, I felt as though the dream was clearly '2012'. But, as I always keep in mind, it didn't turn out to be as destructive as it first appeared. Anyway, maybe tsunamis are currently the 'trending topic' in the 'psychic Twitter'. : p Last edited by Midwinter Mist; 11-25-2011 at 02:06 PM. |

Well, by golly, I had one last night. Mine, too, was the same scenario as its always been, same beach etc.. They ARE awesome dreams, and last night, in the dream I was well-away from the danger...I saw it forming in time to get away to higher ground. In previous years, in the dreams where the waves overwhelmed me I soon discovered I could "breathe under water". Whether by suggestion or 'psychic Twitter', these dreams certainly indicate, to me, an upheaval of the subconscious. If "oceans" represent humanity, then it is the restless stirring ("Occupy Dream States"?) of many souls. We certainly live in times of upheaval. Quote:
Many thanks to those who responded so far: it's an interesting mix of views. All of them 'right' answers...how could there be a 'wrong' one?...and some good insights. For myself, I'm now paying attention to such dreams with a different perception, to see if they announce the up-coming Chaotic Node. I think there is a corelation. Tsusamis are the effect from some else , an earth quake , a volcano , something big dropping into the sea . If any wants to explore there tsusami dreams they should get to what would cause that tsusami . Lets say its a big rock ready to fall in to the sea , maby some one could cut up that rock before it fell into the see , or blast off small pices. Just my random thoughts . desert rat

No, but lately I keep dreaming of tornadoes and black smoke. The tornadoes in my dream emit this thick black smoke and when it touches you, that's it. It's weird cause there's no black smoke that comes with a tornado irl. Also I live in a country where there are no tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis etc.
