How does one become psychic?

I have heard that the famous Edgar Cacey said that he got his information from the sub conscious of the person he read and the akash, so if the sub conscious knows the future then how does one tap into it?

Edgar Cayse used a form of self hypnosis to get to his higher self , I believe it was he that coined the term akashic records . There are many different methods to become psychic , printed in books , self hypnosis on cds , dvds , mp3s from the net . Some people use forms of scrying , like looking at a candle flame , boll of water , or looking in to a mirror . Not ever thing works for ever one , use what works for you . desert rat

Meditation is one effective technique. Also, a good yoga class in which you put all of your attention to doing the yoga and breathing. Don't focus on anything else but your postures. Personally, after doing this for a while, I noticed that I had become more intuitive. I am intuitive to begin with, but it is periodice or not very consistant. With the added practice of yoga, it became more frequent.

anyways, you can try and do other task, I dont think you HAVE to meditate, but I do think it helps you....I dont meditate at all yet im been getting more.....intune? i guess thats the word....XD

One naturally develops so-called psychic abilities as one opens up to higher consciousness. I find that the natural path of growth is the best.

Interesting question. I've never seen it phrased like that before.

I often see people say 'We're all born psychic'. I think though, what they mean is we all have the potential to be psychic. It is within us - and i think it lays dormant until either circumstances in our life and spiritual growth compel it or we step up and do the work.

In the New year i will be starting a personal experiment to develop visual clairvoyance which is the ability to percieve clairvoyant images, visions and all the rest in a physical way. I have been given only the basic idea of how to begin, and i will be documenting my discoveries in the process. It'll be my little project - should be an adventure.

The reason i say this is because i have made a personal choice to pursue growth in this area rather then wait it out. To become, to fully embody being psychic, i strongly feel it should be a practice. One small step at a time. Sometimes it's not like this - it could be very natural.

I would hazard a guess, and mind you this is only in my limitied experience, that there is only a small small percentage of true psychics. I call them 'true' just for emphasis on there highly attained development. And i will hazard another guess - and this is why my experience is limited - that they don't talk about it lol!

I couldn't leave you without giving you something practical to do since i've just preached about it.
