Meditation & astral questions

Ok well I'm not sure if it's considered meditation or not but well I was thinking about having a meeting with my higher self and spirit guides in a place but I wasn't sure where or what kind of place it would be. So I started imagining what it would look like and then I imagined picking up a Smooth black stone out of the water and just held it in my hand and while I was thinking about that my hand started to get warm, and when i held the stone with both hands I could feel warmth in both hands even though my hands were in two separate places then I started to feel pressure on both my hands like there was something really in my hands... And then I decided to put both hands together and look at them, and while they were together the feeling to even stronger and then I started to see something moving in my hands. At least I think so, I couldn't see my fingers or the palm of my hands, I could see my wrists and the bottom part of my hand but that's about it but then again I had the lights turned off at the time....

So was that meditation? Or just my imagination?

And why did I actually feel like I was holding something? Was it really real or just my mind playing tricks?

In the end I don't think I ever got to meet them but I did see a light. Well my eyes were closed and the background got lighter and my eyes kept twitching dunno why... Then I felt something right in front of me and I sort of flipped out a bit because i didn't expect to feel something like that. Before that though it got super dark, like darker than my dark room to where I couldn't see my hand in front of my face dark even with my eyes open there is always a small light in my room but I couldn't even see that. But not sure....

Does it really matter if you see darkness or light while you meditate? Do they mean anything?

As for astral projecting I went to the same place I did before, a dark place that was only filled with stars and instead of a lady there was a guy. And I was talking to him I forget what but I just felt like I could trust him and I felt like I needed to talk to him. At the same time though I felt like I was in another place, like one second I'm talking to this guy and the next I'm having an adventure in a birds eye view perspective it was kind of like, when your awake and doing your homework but at the same time imagining that awesome trip your going to have next week. When I woke up though I felt super light like at any moment I could just float away, just felt weightless the rest of the day... Strange thing was that I woke up the moment I started trying to concentrate on being there talking to that guy.

What I really don't know if it was astral projection or just a dream so...

Was it a dream or astral?

And why did I feel like I was in two places at once? Is that even possible to be like that? Because I've had dreams where I end up in the most random of places by just walking through a door but for this one it felt like a yoyo, just half there and half in another place.

The last time that happened it was Lady and when I woke up from that I felt very warm and felt lots of love, so much that I cried. So any explanation on who or what I'm running into?

Also is it possible to have astral projection and not see your body when you look at the area where your body should be?

Ps sorry for writing so much just want to tell my experience so you can get a better idea of the questions I ask... Well like always any advice, answer and explanation is welcome

There is a possiblility that your hand chakras were activated.
many a times guides manifest themselves as other than humans.I have also read about someone whose guide showed up as a waterfall.
Also most of the times the messages sent are in metaphors ..so.....

well I wasn't thinking of meeting them yet just the place where I would meet them. It's a place that's filled with shallow water and waterfalls, and under the water there are lots of round black smooth rocks. And at the center of the area is a giant smooth stone like a table only without legs (because it floated) The chairs were little lotuses that floated above a bigger lotus... Well I just got really into it I guess, but not sure why I felt that rock in my hand... Well not a rock just energy and pressure of something between my hands whenever I tried to put my hands together

I've meditated before on places like that but never felt things like that with other places
