I had a dream within a dream where I was having a lucid dream. Can you understand that? So in my dream which was not lucid, part of my scenario was having a dream where I was lucid dreaming and in that dream and I was realising I was having a lucid dream and controlling that. Gosh all very complicated. I remember in my dream I said "Oh yeah I'm having a lucid dream, so I want a baby to appear in my arm - but it didn't. I think that means I'm wanting a baby soon |

| Freud said every dream is a desire. So that would mean: 1. You want a baby 2. You want to have lucid dreams But Freud also said that nightmares are desires - masochistic ones - which sounds pretty stupid to me. So i am not sure if Freud's interpretation is worth much. |

Thanks for making it so clear Now really deep down I knew that, so why did I need to ask?

When I dream of pregnancy, it means that something new is coming, some idea, some creative direction, some life change, etc., that I've "conceived" within myself. Eventually, I'll dream of giving birth, and that signifies that the time is right for whatever the change is/was. I've heard of other people with the same dream symbolism regarding pregnancy, too. But you weren't dreaming of pregnancy, just of the "fruit of labour" without the labour or the pregnancy. Maybe you're hoping to get something without any work? Hey, I dunno, it was only a weird guess. I may be miles and miles away. As our friend Freud said, "Sometimes a cigar is only a cigar." Maybe sometimes a baby is only a baby. |

I personally am not keen on having nightmares, but maybe Freud was right and i like them subconsciously without even knowing. :-)
