I think I met my spiritual guide while dreaming... ?

Hi there; I'm completely new to this forum but have never really had anyone to talk to about any of this. I've been able to view and sense aura and chakral energy since I was EXTREMELY young (in fact, I don't ever remember not being able to sense it), and I have always had intense, real dreams with connections to spiritual creatures and sensations - however, it was never something I took seriously, and as such, always shut down my openness to actually getting in touch with these spiritual beings and sensations.

However, recently I have begun meditating more, and recently read an article about meeting your spiritual guide, and spirit animals. As a result I've tried to open myself up to this and meet him/her/them during meditation - however, nothing came of it until last night... I think? Possibly? Well, that's why I'm here to ask you all about it, anyway...

I fell asleep while meditating last night. I wasn't doing any guided imagery, I was just thinking of wanting to meet my guide, and praying to God for protection and guidance and wisdom and openness to meet this person/creature... and so I started "emptying" my body through my third eye, draining myself and pushing my mind off my thought "grid". As everything became empty I floated in this empty nothing for a while, emptying and "purifying" my body, per se, and readying myself for some kind of contact.

I dreamt that I was in a big car, filled with people who were friends, driving up a path, and we stopped somewhere, in the middle of a field, for some important reason... the car became an uncovered car, and we were right next to a fence... I could see, in the brush, a fox... a huge fox, the size of a wolf, dusty brown colored fur... but no one else I tried to point her out to could see her at first. I reached my hand out towards the fox, and there was a fence separating us... the fox immediately... charged me, I guess? It was very vicious, snarling and growling, teeth snapping at the fence and trying to get to me... I remember feeling completely terrified but also completely sucked in, like I had to keep trying to physically reach out to the fox and let myself be consumed, because it would be okay. But then, she transformed into a woman.

I don't remember specifically what she looked like, but I remember feeling her fierce love for me. It was immense and wild and all consuming, and I have never felt such emotion directed towards me in my entire life. I felt complete and utter dread, but not in a bad or scary sense, just complete awe of her power and the love I felt emanating from her, and I loved her back. It did feel like a romantic love with a fierce tinge of sexuality, but it was also very familial and territorial and jealous and protective.

Anyway, I remember she had to sing a song of rebirth, for some reason... something about banishing something haunting and sinister... well, not banishing this thing, but renewing it into something younger and full of potential for GOOD; removing the evil from it... and she asked me to join her. I felt so honored and afraid and overwhelmed and filled with love for her that I cried, and could barely sing... but I managed, and she wrapped her arms around me and I woke up crying and missing her, wanting to be back with her.

By the way, just for clarification, none of this was lucid. Despite the numerous times I've tried, I can't lucid dream. I'm sure if I keep working at it I will be able to, but for now I just can't do it.

Could this be my spirit guide, or maybe something else? She definitely did NOT feel like a normal human being. I just remember being so overwhelmed by her.

Also, she smelled like fresh linen, and I felt like I could still smell her when I woke up.

They say it is your spirit guide if when you see/dream of them you feel like you have known them all the time like bumping into a close friend you haven't see in ages

That's why I was a little unsure about it... I did feel like I had known her forever, in a sense, but the love aspect of it was very overwhelming, and everywhere I read about spirit guides, I just see people say that they are like a friend that you chit chat with, not someone that there is a passionate deep love with. It didn't really feel overly sexualized, but was a little, like I said, but it was definitely a romantic feeling.

And honestly, her jealousy kind of scared me... it STILL kind of scares me, especially more so as I am not with her right now as I was in the dream... It was like I BELONGED to her. Not maliciously, but it was just very... black and white feeling.

It is quite possible it was not a spirit guide, but it could have been a guardian angel

I honestly have no idea! D: And I have no idea how to find out! I don't know. I'm kind of worried. I want to try to meet her again but I'm not sure if that's a good idea- maybe because I'm making myself freaked out now. :P When I was with her I felt nothing but love and overwhelming awe and respect.

Also, seemingly everywhere online I research, foxes have negative connotations associated with them... ?
