Was it real or was it my imagination?

Hi, everyone.....

found this forum and i am hoping to get some words of advice, experience, etc...from those that might have had the same experiences as me.....that said....

My mother died 2 months ago, it was a surprise and no preparations had been made. etc.....As you can imagine it was a shock to me.

Well, long story short, i was alone in my home, not on any drugs, alcohol, etc...and i was very tired. i started to fall asleep when i SWEAR i heard my mothers voice!

It made me alert again....and a little spooked...but then i felt ok. the thing is that she called my name....it was very faint but like i said, i must have heard something because it made me wake back up in a very alert state....

any comments out there would be appreiciated!!!

It most likely was your mother, because it was unexpected of her to leave you like this she probably wants to let you know she is alright and that she will always be with you no matter what. She is giving you a sign, if you will open up your mind to her she may even be able to convey a message to you if that is what she is trying to do.

From my experience, hearing your moms voice is reasonable, I don't doubt you a bit.
In other words you,re not nuts, chances are it was mom. I agree with Principessa, keep an open mind. I have a couple of friends that have crossed over that communicate with me in a few fun ways, they have a sense of humor...it is a comfort knowing they pop in every now and then, or if I call on them. One thing you may want to consider is taking a pictures with a digital camera as some photos turn out interesting. Look through the view finder if you want, I don't..just usually snap the shots.

Talk to her , tell her you know that we have a spirit that survives death. desert rat

Hi,talk to her when she comes to you again.
Tell her what happened to her.If your mum passed away suddenly she may not know that she has died and she would be very confused .
I know that idea may sound strange but some spirits wander the earth because they have not been told what happened to them. They need to know that it is ok to go to the spirit world.
You can talk to her at anytime and she will hear you

I had a friend die suddenly of a heart attack. She would visit me of a night making gestures like she was confused or lost.
I told her how she died and that she could go to the spirit world. I didn't see her again and now only see her occasionally in dreams

I am so very very sorry.

I lost mine in April. Even though it was very expected and a good thing, it was still SO SO SO hard and even though we expected it, still shocking which was a surprise.

Just this morning, things hit me again. My husband picked up some local food last night from down by where she lived. I had some for breakfast and boom, in tears.

I absolutely believe it was her.

I woke up one night (actually before she passed) and it felt like she was holding my hand. I thought it might have been my husband or daughter (although it felt just like my mother's hand). Nope, my husband was turned the other way and my daughter was in her room/bed.

I was talking to my friend, she said the same thing. "I think your mom came to visit me last night, I woke up to someone holding my hand." It was the same hand for both of us (left).

She had very soft gentle hands.

It is intersting that you were in a very relaxed state, in alpha state, that made it easier for you to tune into the subtle energies from "the other side". My brother died about 2 years ago, and I later had dreams about him. They are less in frequency than two years ago, but in the dreams he was doing really well. He was very focused and determined to continue to learn the lessons that he was meant to learn on Earth. So, don't worry about your mom. I am sure it is came as a shock. I took Bach Flower remedies to help me with the grief and shock, but my panic attacks subsided over time. I am glad you heard from your mother. Perhaps you will see her in your dreams.
