Shapes when meditating ...

When meditating I see the crown chakra color and moving shapes, sometimes it looks like I'm watching a lava lamp, other times they seem to form into shapes/patterns and maybe even faces (but not 100% sure)

I was told this was my guides and that they wanted me to continue to practice and 'come towards them', does anyone experience anything similar ? Would coming towards them simply mean go deeper into mediation ? When I try focusing on looking at them they float away or disappear ...

any input would be much appreciated,

If it is a purple colour that will be your third eye, the faces you are seeing are real, you may see white shapes in the form of humans like i do those are your guides, i get the patterns too, not sure what to make of them though but some can be really beautiful.

Do you find you go through layers or levels ? ie starts as lava lamps, then as you go deeper into meditation it becomes shapes then guides ?

to me it seems like it related to the crown chakra, the color I see is the same color as the purple in the crown chakra, could this be possible ?

When it starts for me it is blackness exept for a purple circle in the centre, then it expands till the blackness disapears and i am engulved in purple like a purple tunnel and i am travelling through it and not always forward sometimes i will veer of in another direction, then i see images like people or places, the crown and brow chakras have a close connection when it comes to the third eye, i have activity in both areas, throbing and pressure on the brow area and a feeling of a million ants running really fast on my crown area i dont have to meditate that much now sometimes it only takes 30 seconds before i am travelling through the purple tunnel, i just close my eyes and watch, i dont force it to happen and on one or two occasions nothing has happened usually when i am too tired

yes, i see tunnels as well, do you just visualize moving into it ? when i do that it kind of expands but nothing really happens, and i find can also be hard on the eyes ....

I purposely set out to open my third eye so when i meditated i looked up as if i was trying to see between my brows and kept my eyes in that position when i closed them if you do the same meditation i used to do it will place strain on your eyes like it did mine, i. sometimes go through the tunnel and see nothing, i dont visulise going through the tunnel i feel it, i dont use visualisation, i just observe, have you noticed your intuition increase in your everyday life, have you gone down a street you have gone down before yet now the colours are more fresh and vibrant and it as if you are really seeing it for the first time.

I dont have to place my eyes looking upwards anymore, i just close my eyes.

Where are you seeing those shapes etc? It is up, down, in front, inside your head or beyond your head?

Basically I close my eyes and they are just there, moving around in the void ... when i try and gaze/focus on them directly they kind of zoom up and out of sight faster than I can follow.

my 3rd eye and crown area also pulse on occasion as well, but never both at the same time.

I believe it is but not sure how to formally check ... I've got a fairly strong intuitive ability and have been doing RV for about 3 years and have recently been starting to do intuitive readings for others. I on occasion (but rarely) see clairevoyant images.

How would one confirm if the 3rd eye is in open ?

If the shapes move and when you gaze at them seem to disappear does it happen rapidly with one image after another after another, because that happened to me at first, but now the images are clearer and last longer

Third eye is at the surface of the forehead near the center of the eyebrows, a little up mostly.

There is however another orb which is half-way between the third eye and the observing self. That is why I asked the question.

The way to determine this is to know where your thoughts, ideas and images usually occur in the mind when you are thinking. That location is actually a psychic orb. It is not the third eye but it functions with the third eye or it can function alone.

But for sure third eye is on the surface of the forehead in front of you. When there is a purplish, grayish,m blackish round shape light or cloud of energy moving away from you or moving to you and then disappearing from or finally at the third eye, that is the operation of the third eye chakra which you are seeing.

In addition to all this, there are two subtle eyes just like we use two physical eyes. The subtle eye also give psychic perception into other dimensions.

I'm not really sure, i think i see them in front of me, but feel like a intense pressure way in the back of my head ...

i dont see images, its more like moving puddles of energy that sometimes turn into shapes thatr almost look like symbols or faces made of geometrical patterns

when i do reiki on someone on occasion when i close my eyes i can see the outline of my hands in purple as well ... disapears after 15 or so seconds thought.

Well with everything i read about opening the third eye you are supposed to know that you have open your third eye if when you close your eyes you seen purple coloured shapes or you see what looks like a star filled sky, your intuition increases, you start seeing spirits, capabie of telepathy, being able to hear spirits, being able to see into other dimensions and spirit realms.
