Strange Energy In Home?

Hello everyone

I feel kid of silly asking this, but I feel as if I have some kind of energy in my home. I don't want to call it a ghost or spirit, because I have never had any experience with ghosts and don't want to jump to conclusions. When I first moved in, there was a strong oppressive feeling when walking from the living room to the master bedroom. It felt as if there was a strange pressure on my shoulders pulling me backward, and the closer I got to the bedroom door, the heavier it got. Someone suggested it was a spirit, so I told it to leave, and the feeling stopped.

Well recently, I have been noticing more strange things. When I am in bed at night, my husband and I hear whispering coming from the kitchen. At first we assumed it was my sister in law, but we asked her and she is always in bed at that time. I keep feeling as if I am being watched when I am alone, but it doesn't feel bad or scary.

The reason I am getting concerned now is my mother in law was sitting on the sofa a few days ago, and told me she saw a huge black shadow pass in front of the door outside. The weird things is, the door is 3 feet off the ground with only a few stairs. She said she saw it pass from one side of the door to the other without changing it's height. I'm worried because she is a hardcore christian, and always blows us off when we mention something weird going on, and she was really frightened of whatever she saw.

So, what does this sound like to you guys? Am I just being paranoid, or has anyone else has anything like this happen? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

no, im kidding. But there is something from a past-life you are experiencing. Looks like the entity didn't want to let go just yet, or it's angry you came in. Nothing to worry about, though. This isn't as serious as they can get.

like desertrat said, use smudge sticks. They work very well.

I'm not really concerned about getting rid of it as much as I am wanting to understand it. It's a really interesting feeling, unlike anything else I've ever felt. I'm really enjoying doing all kinds of research about things like this now. I don't plan on trying to interact with it; I'm a big chicken.

You can set up some tape recorders and look e.v.p. on the possibility that you are being haunted by ghosts . I know some people actually live with and interact with spirits, and don't bother sending them away. Pretty creepy.

lol, I read a post recently by Andrew Gubb where he cleared his house of negative energy by following a more intuitive method. Maybe you could meditate and see what you feel guided to do?

Have had it myself to, looking for an answer on what it is. And if it is good or not. But just telling you that you are not the only one who has experienced such things. Have experienced those things in different forms since I've been meditating and opening my chakra's.

Welcome to the forum seeker of spirituality . I had forgeten that evap . cooler until re reading my old post . A year or two ago I had a volt meter read over range when I was checking a stove , it was in my hand not hooked to a circuit . It worked fine later , I think there was a ghost there also , just messing with my electronic volt meter . desert rat

First, Don't Freak out about it. If you are
sensitive and you go to or find yourself living
in a house with a spirit. It is not that bad.
You don't need to be scared all the time about it. Yes, sometimes it can be alarming.
But most of the time life is just normal like
any other house. I live in an old area where there are a lot of ghosts. They come and go. It can be busy around here
at times. Other times months can pass and
nothing. Sometimes it is because someone new is in the house. Then things settles down. Sometimes it is around a particular date or time. It is a new experience for you. You may just get used to it and no big deal.
