Schizophrenia link with spirituality

Here is another example of mis-diagnosis. When I was a child, the teenage girl next door would have uncontrollable bouts of screaming. Her mother had her institutionalized. When she would come home to visit, she would come over to our house and tell my mom the horrors of what they did to her in the asylum. She was trying to convince anyone who would listen to her that she was not insane. She had been in the institution for almost three years when they discovered that she had a brain tumor, which had been the cause of her unusual behavior.

A second or even third opinion is always wise, because it may uncover something important that had been missed by others.

Yeah it's really interesting. Music college professors may be surprised and excited when they hear a student speak of the inner ear training as an educational, developmental goal. Yet when someone mentions to a spychiatrist "I hear symphonies on my walk home", they might be prone to break out the ye olde elixir of sanity. However, I will go on record to say that medications have altered my life in a positive way.
