Hi, guys. My first post under this definitive username. =] When I was younger (13 or so) I had a crush for this girl, and it got to a point where she was in my mind all the time. So, once I was walking to the supermarket, and when I cross the entry, when my foot touches the ground, I see an image in my head, like electricity running through my body - all this in a fraction of a second. What I saw? The image of that girl, as clear as water. Five minutes later, I bump into her, inside the supermarket. She was wearing the necklace I saw her in that image, the same top, the same hairdress... The moment I bumped into her was a carbon copy of the image that had chocked my mind moments ago. Some could argue that I had seen her before, when I was entering the supermarket, and it were the doings of my subconscious. Well, the entry to it has no sight to it's inside, and I'm 99,9% sure I hadn't saw her before. It really weirded me out, and I never forgot this. Today, I had a similar experience, relating to an highly improbable event. I was looking at someone, when my mind snaps and gives me a picture, a scene. It was... awesome. No words to describe it. I heard the sounds on that scene, I felt my own body moving (even though I was still). It was like, for a fraction of second, I was living other reality, or the future. What I saw hasn't come true, or may never will - but heck, this was so amazing I even have faith this may be an accurate representation of my future. It was like visualization, but so powerful that there were no borders between reality and vision. For the next seconds, I was so weirded out I was expecting what I saw to happen, even though right now it was something way impossible. I don't know what it was. Another 'vision' like the one I had when I was younger? A burst of my imaginitive mind? My future (my rational mind screams 'No way', but this... I don't know, has put faith in my hearth)? Anyway, a few years ago, I used to be able to tell, with a ~90% rate of success if a teacher was going to miss class or not. A gut feeling. I trusted myself so much that I didn't do homework or something when I 'knew' the teacher was going to miss. Any insight on this would be great. I don't really know what is this, and I am very interested in this visions that take my mind by assault. Can I master this power in any way? Am I fooling myself and this are just the wanderings of my imaginitive mind? Thanks. |

I think your last line pretty much summed it up... First experience could have been coincidence. A scientific explaination for dejavu' is a misfiring of neurons, mistaking an old memory for a new one. Here's a couple of excerpts i got from an article i found. "One explanation for their results is the “double perception” theory, which has been around since the late 19th century. According to the theory, people sometimes see things twice in quick succession: the first time superficially or peripherally; the second time with full awareness. You might glance at a building while talking on a cell phone, for instance, and not really register it, then give it a second look a little while later after you get off the phone. You might not remember the first glance, but your brain has registered it subliminally, so the second glance may seem oddly familiar. " "discovered that it was more likely to occur during periods of stress and fatigue and that it tended to occur late in the day and late in the week. Other surveys have since shown that a number of factors influence the frequency of déjà vu. The more educated, well traveled, wealthy, and liberal a person is, the more likely he or she is to experience déjà vu. As people grow older, the frequency of déjà vu trails off dramatically. The average twentysomething experiences it about three times a year; middle-aged people rarely experience it more than once a decade." I've personally experienced dejavu' twice myself... Regarding your 2nd experience of being in an environment of pure bliss... maybe you were daydreaming or had momentary enlightment... |

so by now you might be thinking i`m following you or something:P again such a post, but oh well just one side get`s boring now does it? when you experience this it`s basically thinking about the person and your energy system extracts the data from that image, and gathers the person at a specific moment. it`s not really an abillity other then directed data gathering. so yes handy feature, you could train that to concious use. that`s as simple as it gets. |

As for the 2nd experience, I may have not made it very clear. I wasn't in an environment of pure bliss. It was just that I saw a scene of just a few seconds playing in my head, of something good. It was kinda weird. The environment around me, the people... everything was just as it was happening. It just had the added element of someone arriving near the group I was in. Not only it had sound, movement, colour, attached to it, but also feeling. And it felt... I don't know. Like it was a strong energy. I don't know how to put it to you. But it's funny that you talk about momentary enlightenment... Sometimes I have, just for a fraction of a second, the feeling of understanding everything - and at the time, not knowing anything. Pretty freakish, but it goes away in an instant. Quote:

Xin I don't know if it is in your case, but take it from me. Visions DO exist in the power of people. I had visions since a child but didn't realise till 35 they were visions of actual happenings in future. I told my girlfriend the night before Sept 11 I saw rumblings, massive rumbing noise. I saw a plane crash 1/2 hr before I saw it on TV live. I told my wife I saw a Sunami in Australia as I saw surfboards flying in the air on waves 2 weeks before the news of a Sunami in Indonesia island that hit a Surfing Club resort with Australians, and quoted in the newspaper "surfboards and boats riding on waves". This is only a tip of what I see all the time. I still haven't mastered what to do, or how to warn or help people esp. where the concern me. Seven years ago I told my about today's event and the future for the next five years. And she's seeing them happen like clockwork. My advice is this: Crap to anyone who doesn't believe in visions, these are designed to stifle your ability. To tell the difference between Dreams and Visions are Visions are when you're wide awake, they come with no explanation (like to with something you ate or someone you seen the day before or whatched on TV). And secondly they do happen. You master it only when you believe in yourself and are confident and you can't control destiny. |
